I decided to try Avenue Roofing after having bad luck with the no name companies. Their initial estimate was much higher than I was willing to spend, but they took other estimates into consideration and matched the price.

My mother had been having problems with a leaking roof for many, many years. I was fed up with dealing with other firms that just weren't able to get to the root cause and fix the issue once and for all. I think a lot of companies treat low sloping roofs the same way as they would standard sloped roofs which from our experience leads to problems. I called Avenue Rd and they sent Jason to give the estimate. He was great. He gave me his analysis on what he felt the problem was and how to resolve it in terms that I understood and that made perfect sense to me. He recommended a complete replacement using an approach they they use on flat roofs. It was a heck of a lot more than what we wanted to spend however as my mother is a senior citizen it was imperative that we address the leaking roof, as the puddles of water on the floor were a safety hazard to her. Jason was also firm in that they wouldn't attempt a less expensive repair as it wouldn't be effective. I appreciated his honesty. A lot of other firms won't be as firm and if you balk at paying for an expensive replacement that will fix the problem they will still try to get the sale by doing a cheaper repair even though it won't be effective and when you call them back they will give you a song and dance about it being a new problem. Avenue Road completed the job in March and her home has been watertight ever since and we have had some serious downpours since then. I would highly recommend Avenue Rd and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

I had to replace the shingles from my roof due to age so I decided to call Avenue Road Roofing. They offered me a reasonable rate so I decided to hire them. They were extremely professional and make sure that the job is done correctly to not only satisfy me but to also prevent them from returning to do any repairs. I recently had Avenue Road Roofing install new eavestrough on my house in Barrie, the whole experience was very pleasing, the responce time was quick, and the overall install was very professional, no problems at all. even though the job was out of the city of Toronto the price was very resonable and higher quality than installers in Barrie. We purchased a home that already had a Skylight leak issue in the past as the previous owner told us he had it repaired once already. Well, it wasn’t very long before that repair became a leak again and a real problem fairly quickly and was causing damage to our ceiling on the inside as well. Considering the Skylight was ‘fixed’ once already I realized we had better get some professionals in to properly repair it this time around. I also have a policy of not getting work performed any longer by tradesmen or anyone who appears to be working ‘out of their car’ as I made that unfortunate mistake that way with a basement renovation and regret that to this day. So I set out to find a larger reputable company and while I have seen their ads or signs many places, I’ve never had work done by them in the past. I placed a call in to Avenue Road Roofing and had someone come out fairly quickly to assess the Skylight. The next day I received a phone call to book the repair for the following morning. Someone arrived in the morning as scheduled and within 4 hours had the repair completed and I was made aware of what the real issues were with the Skylight and why this had happened. And it was lucky for us since there was rain in the forecast and I was anxious to see how the repair would hold up. Well, I would have to say that it’s been perfectly dry since and we can now repair the ceiling and interior water damage safely without the worries of it leaking again. I was so impressed on how quick and streamlined the project went from my initial phone call to someone calling to book and then arriving quickly and completing the job properly. I’m also impressed with the cleanup with no mess left on the roof or on ground…totally professional from first call to cleanup. I couldn’t nitpick on even the cleanliness of the job and could honestly recommend Avenue Road Roofing to anyone wanting to deal with a very professional company. My experience was great.

Great flat roofer specialists, featured on episode two of the Mike Holms show. Knowledgable, fast and efficient, were able to explain what the problem was, and able to fix it within our own timeframe.

Called three well reviewed roofers on Home stars. Avenue Rood Roofers had a knowledgeable person answering the phone, the other two I left a message and never got my call returned. Avenue Roof Roofers called me back within 15 minutes as promised to confirm a 2pm appt that day. They came on time, gave me a reasonable quote for a small job and came back, repleaced the damaged singles as promised.
The other two companies didn't even bother to call me back as it was a small job. Thank you Avenue Road Roofing. Now I know why Mile Homes uses these guys on his show,

Avenue Road Roofing recommended solutions that would eliminate that potential for water damage, gave me a fair price for the work to be done, and their staff completed the work in a timely and expert fashion.

While some would say there are no guarantees in the roofing business, I am satisfied that I have done my best to find a professional company that will stand behind its work, a warranty that is in reasonably plain English, and workmanship that I trust will stand the test of our our Canadian weather.
