This place is the best kept secret in upholstery. An unassuming storefront, but the owner Mohammad is a genius at his trade, and his prices are amazing. He did a couch for us, including totally changing the structure and the look of the couch, not just recovering it, and the result is perfect. My parents have been going to Akram Upholstery for years, and I will be too. Highly recommend!

We left fabric we purchased with the owner, with the intention of bringing in furniture to have reapholstered. By the time we returned, he had either sold the fabric, or used it on someone else's furniture. When confronted, he was unconcerned, and refused to reimburse us for fabric costs. Not sure how a legitimate business can get away with this.

Upon receiving two outrageous quotes for making new cushions for my sofa, I went to see Mohammad Akram. He was very helpful and honest. He does not have many fabric samples so a trip to Designer Fabric to get the fabric of choice does add a step. The resulting product was lovely and and completed in the time projected.
