Reliable Dryer Vent

This is the 6th Year Magic Touch has cleaned my chimney and vents, love this company. Chris came again this year and as usual great service prompt, clean and courteous.

We had Magic Touch come and sweep our chimney yesterday.
I received a remover call the day before and then a call from the tech with the ETA. Very professional and so careful lugging in the equipment.

The technician (I've forgotten his name) explained sweep / clean recommendations, how often, types of wood burnt & effects etc to us and checked that our double sided fireplace was in good working order.

I'm sitting by the fire with peace of mind the chimney, fireplace is clean and in top working order. Magic Toich will be the only chimney sweep I use.

I was referred to Magic Touch by the former owner of my home and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. . Tony was great in explaining everything he did and went beyond the call of duty tightening a loose part on top of the chimney. He also made sure to protect his surroundings from dust and dirt and left my livingroom in exactly the same shape he found it. I would highly recommend Magic Touch.

The company was efficient and on time. We were cleaning the chimney to get it read for a gas insert installation. Cleaning took about an hour and most of it was done from inside the house. They left the place clean afterward. I was shown some areas inside the chimney where there are areas of crumbling brick but was assured that there would be no loss in integrity.
There was a small amount of odour after from the soot but we were warned about it and it subsided after a few hours.
Would definitely recommend their services!

Freddie did a thorough check of our dryer vent and let us know that no service was needed (at no charge). He then did a great job cleaning the chimney and informed us of some additional exterior work that will need to be done by a mason. He was very professional, informative and friendly.

Fantastic customer service from this company! Technician who cleaned the dryer vent made an error that resulted in my bringing in another service company. When I contacted Magic Touch about this I had a message from the owner within 30 minutes of my call and a full refund (more than I asked for) in my mail box within 2 business days. Very, very impressed!

Bought a house that had 2 fireplaces. The inspection revealed that there might be issues with one of them. Got a hold of magic Touch based on the recommendation of a co worker. They were prompt and professional, fixed all that needed to be fixed and left the house as clean as they found it and showed their concern to make everything safe for me and my family to use.

The people at Magic Touch were prompt in returning my call and setting up my appointment. Freddie, who cleaned the dryer did a great job and was both informative and pleasant.

Very professional, responsive, and reasonably priced...

Our problem started with a stench of urine and other foul smells lurking around the house which we couldn't identify where it was from. It turned out that it was emanating from the chimney. We called a chimney guy (not Magic Touch) who made us wait a week just to book us into his schedule. I sort of assume that he was good hence he was very busy - wrong assumption. He showed up with a flashlight and told us that there was a dead squirrel in the fire place and it was stuck in the unreachable corner between the fire brick and the external wall. We were told that the carcass was half dried up already and he suggested to fill the gap in the fire place where the carcass lay with sand to bury the smell. That did not sound like a good idea and I did not want dead animals buried into my wall. So while he was out "buying the sand", I called and Googled around for options and came across Magic Touch from the HomeStars web site. He took a while and upon his return, we discovered that he was actually servicing another call, and when we insisted that we need any carcass to be removed prior to filling with sand, the chimney guy stormed out claiming we were wasting his time even though we offered to pay for his time.

Looking at HomeStars, Magic Touch appear to be highly rated and have recent reviews in my area so I decided to contact them. I was still skeptical so I called Magic Touch by phone and Marc answered, took down the details of my distress and passed me onto Stephanie (along with the details of my call so I didn't have to repeat the reason of my call unlike calling some other companies). They realized that I needed help as there were flies coming out of the chimney along with the intolerable stench that I was able to smell with my active carbon P100 mask on when I was trying to see where the dead squirrel was for myself. They booked me in for an appointment in the following day and told me that we have an appointment with Adam between 10am and 12pm. Unlike the other company, I was quoted in advance so I knew what to expect. I had a much higher budget in mind because I was prepared to rip apart my entire chimney and rebuild it from scratch if that was what it takes to remove the dead carcass.

The following day, Adam arrived at 10:46am and started work on the chimney. He came fully equipped, from his drop cloth to protect my flooring from the dirt in front of the fire place to a borescope to look inside the chimney. It didn't take him long to discovered that it wasn't a squirrel but a raccoon that was in the chimney. He took a few pictures of the raccoon laying motionless before removing the damper. As he was describing his discoveries to my fiancee the raccoon poked its head out and startled the both of them - LoL. It turned out that the raccoon wasn't dead at all and it was probably just sleeping. Not only was it able to climb up and down a chimney, it was able to move my recently installed chimney cap aside so it can get in and out of the chimney. Adam managed to evict my smelly and flies infested raccoon "tenant", sanitized the chimney, and capped the chimney using a more robust chimney cap from Magic Touch which is now glued down. Even with the unexpected set back of having to convince the raccoon to leave my chimney without harming it, Adam completed his task, capped the chimney, sanitized the smell, cleaned up and was done within two hours and left at 12:20pm.

We are looking forward to future dealings with Magic Touch Chimney Sweeps and hope that they will continue to strive towards maintaining their service excellence.

Excellent company. We called them
To open up our chimney, who had a damper stuck, to install a fireplace. After they came we were give the go for the installation. However the fireplace company found that the chimney was stuck in a different location. When we called Magic Touch again the admin person immediately apologized for giving us the green light and sent another techician at no cost, reassuring that he "would have not left until the chimney ws completely open". Very impressed by their professionalism and sense of honor!
