The Home Depot

We recently moved into an apartment building we bought. Going back to apartment living was bad enough but I refused to live in a white world. I immediately headed to the Home Depot near Louis Joliet Mall and started to search out colors. The person waiting on us was patient and discuss the difference between paint types versus what I wanted to get from the room. What I thought was great, was they had a can of a very similar color that they had mixed and either the person did not want it or returned it. It was only 5.00 versus the 35.00 for them to mix a new gallon. The color difference was not that great and I was able to buy more stuff to make the apartment feel more like home. It was nice to get 2 gallons of good quality paint for 40.00.

As part of an overall Kitchen Renovation we were going to install a new tile floor in our kitchen. We paid Home Depot at Louis Joliet Mall $35.00 for their subcontractor to come out and look at the job. As part of the project, we wanted to have a 4 inch map base of tile aound the border of the floor. When the contractor looked at our floor he noticed that there were two 12 inch arcs around some cabinetry and claimed he couldn't fit the tile around the arc's. He refused the job. We went back to Home Depot for a refund and they refused to give it to us. On our own we found an installer who used a little imagination and worked out a simple technique to create the arc for the mop base.
We will not go back to Home Depot for any home improvement needs
