If you are in Vancouver make sure you ask for Melody. She provides great customer service and suggestions no matter how small the project. If they don't carry a particular design you want, she will find one for you. There are lots of samples you can look at. She is also very good at following up and making sure you are a satisfied customer.
Front & Company is both a consignment store and new fashion store. They have some really eclectic home accessories. If you are looking for something like a baboon pitcher or a grand hotel table clock, you need to come here. The people there are really nice and you can even bring in your old items for sale.
Garden Works has a surprisingly large variety of carnivorous plants. The care taker, a very cheery man, seem to be very knowledgeable and passionate about the care that goes into all the plants. All staff are usually very helpful and friendly and this location has more variety in my opinion. There is also free coffee at this location.
This store carries just about everything. They have any kind of pump you need and has a large variety of tropical fish. The staff seem to be always busy caring for their live organisms, but are very knowledgeable and they always know what you seem to need.
I went to Home Depot for a can of eggshell white paint because I ran out. I see one dented can of eggshell white so I, being me, went through the other cans to find an undented can. I went home and opened it and it was pink. Someone had opened it and mixed in other colours and had put it back on the shelf. I went back to exchange it and brought it over to the paint mixers at Home Depot and she brought back the same dented can of eggshell white. There was no fuss in doing the exchange, but I wish I did not had to make another trip.
