Since Buttons did an excellent job on my air conditioning previously, I gave them a ring about installing an HRV. The sales rep was great in navigating through the various options, and suggesting the right solution given our needs. The installers did a fantastic job doing a clean install in the furnace room, despite having little room to operate in a finished basement (very happy I didn't need to patch drywall after!). From what I researched, HRV installations can be rather involved, so I wanted to employ a company that was experienced in order do things right first time. Highly recommended.

Excellent service, product, and price from the folks at Amazon Railings (which is affiliated with Amazon Renovation - www.amazonrailings.ca). We had an initial issue with the railing (wrong design from the manufacturer), which was handled in record time (4 people at the factory worked on the job late to fabricate the correct railing next day - typically this would take 4-6 weeks). Fountainhead was recommended to me by a work client, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. We had a general idea of what we wanted for the front of the house, but Kevin’s vision, ideas, and photos from previous work were so compelling, we gave him a blank slate for the design components and landscaping. I’m very glad that we did. Being a new development, Kevin excavated over 3 feet deep to ensure the driveway had a solid foundation. This was especially important for us, since we noticed that there were other interlocking driveways in the neighbourhood that started to sink after being installed less than a year ago. The weather was hit and miss during project, but the crew certainly took their time in ensuring that the work would be completed to our satisfaction. The little details make a big difference for us, like the fact they travelled to 4 stone suppliers to find the armour stone and flagstone that was the right colour and size, leveling a cobblestone banding that was a different height than our interlocking stone, to power washing the sidewalk and garage after completing the job. These gentlemen are stone masons and are experts in their craft – and are really nice guys to boot. I’m a big believer that you get what you pay for, and although Fountainhead wasn’t the least expensive quote we received upon doing our due diligence, they certainly represented a fantastic value for the results and complements we received from our neighbours. We can’t wait to see what they’ll come up with for our backyard deck and landscaping. Since these guys work almost exclusively by word of mouth (they don’t even have a website), so I felt compelled to write a review on Homestars to get the word out on these guys. Highly recommended.
