A squirrel made a home under our roof (literally). I called Swat Wildlife and two days later they sent Endre to investigate and propose a solution. He came, diagnosed, and fixed the problem the same day, even though it turned out to be a much bigger job than anticipated (the wood under the shingles at the edge of the roof was rotten or missing along the whole perimeter, and the roofers who had worked on it two years prior didn't point that out). After sealing the roof all around, he installed a one-way door and the squirrel was out within the hour after the job was completed. No more ruckus in the morning. Endre also cleared and sealed the bird nests he found at the corners of the house. I am very happy with his service. Highly recommended.

We first used Valentin’s company in 2015 to replace the private segment of the underground water main pipe, which was lead, with a copper pipe. His quote was very competitive, but the best part was the responsiveness and the no-nonsense approach he took to quickly assess the job. His crew did the work exactly as promised, and before he left he answered a few more questions about a different plumbing problem I had at the time. The job was completed before some competitors had even sent their quotes. Fast-forward two years to the day before yesterday. We arrived home after a 5 day absence to frozen pipes and no running water. Since we had kept the thermostat running (albeit at a lower temp), I was sure the problem was outside. I sent a text msg to Valentin, who very promptly responded with the procedure to use to determine whether the blockage was internal or external (to my surprise, it was internal) and how to thaw the pipes. A few hours later we had running water again. I would use his services again in a heartbeat.

I'm in Etobicoke, and I couldn't enter the winter with a roof that was on its last legs. I contacted 5 companies, but the only ones who actually responded to my questions and concerns properly were the Home Star guys. The quality of the work is outstanding. They also took the time to educate me about various roofing issues that the other companies didn't even mention, which helped me make informed choices. They replaced the roof, 2 skylights, and also installed proper venting both on the roof and at the soffits, which the previous owner had neglected to do. The whole thing took one day, and by the time they cleaned up at the end, you couldn't tell that this had been a busy work site just a few hours earlier. Highly recommended, I couldn't be happier.
