We recently used Woodchuck Flooring for replacement of our old damaged hardwood with new pre-finished birch floors during a renovation project. Even though our job was relatively small (about 500 square feet)we were given fantastic service from the showroom right through to the end of the project. The showroom staff were extremeley knowledgeable about their vast range of products and made several recommendations based on our needs that were very helpful. Even with a fair bit of shopping around, the value for the quality of product we received could not be beat. The finished product after installation looks fantastic. In fact, we were so happy with our initial experience that we returned to Woodchuck when we decided to renovate our basement as well. This time we elected to go with a high-quality laminate product, and once again Woodchuck did not disappoint. They were able to explain the pros and cons of the various products very clearly, and this time even made a recommendation for our installation that saved us a significant amount of money. We will definitely use Woodchuck again for our next flooring project.

We recently completed a complete renovation of the main floor of our home including Kitchen, bedrooms and living/dining room. In the process we replaced our hardwood floors and undertook the installation ourselves. We rented a hardwood flooring air nailer from Home Depot for this. After completing the rental agreement and paying, the salesperson told us that they didn't have any of the nails required. He went to "double-check" that there were none in the store and returned with the bad news that there were not. He told us that he had checked and there were none available at any other nearby locations. So we drove to a Rona location half-way across town and picked some up. The next day we returned to this Home Depot for something else, and while passing the Fasteners aisle happened to notice a shelf full of hardwood nails. It was obvious based on the dust on the boxes and shelf around them that these had been there for quite some time. And they were half the price of the ones from Rona. So drove half-way across town and paid double the price because the Home Depot salesperson was either too lazy or too incompetent to actually find the nails. I suppose we could have checked ourselves...but it's really frustrating to get service this poor when you spend so much money at a place.
