This is another happy ending story for me. Very careful work, very pleasant mason. Great care taken to match the missing & cracked mortar with the existing mortar, removed mortar that did not match & replaced it. My house really looks better. I have this kind of repair before, & never with such positive results. I feel anyone would be fortunate to have Ike do work for them.

The short version is I will always, if possible, hire AG at Zafcon for any future project. This small former closet, 5' x 5 1/2', is a stunning showpiece. The photographs don't begin to capture it. The level of consultation was extraordinary, the going the extra mile by AG something I've never seen before. He caught my spirit somehow. He made sure it was finished to perfection, & to my exact taste. & I should add, this was done on the third floor of my house in the middle of winter, a lot of carefulness & going up & down stairs & working outside was required. There was never a complaint by anyone working here. & there was no mess, not even a speck, left behind.

Cameron works by himself on small jobs, and has a crew for larger ones. He has an artist's eye for design problem solving, and fanatical attention to detail. He knows how to make a project look good, with little extra expense. He completed a very large job about 7 years ago, with some of the tile, plumbing fixtures and some custom made shelving subcontracted by me, under Cameron's supervision. The finished product was wonderful, seamlessly building the new into the old. Since then, whenever I have a need for help, even something small, I feel confident calling Cameron. I know his approach to every job includes his specific understanding of the needs of the specific client. This creates not only confidence, but a kind of relaxation, which I have found very rare working with contractors.

Since I was recommending this company to someone else, I thought I'd add my own comments on homestars. The short version is, this is the best contractor of any kind I've ever dealt with. The job was expensive, and needed to be perfect. It is. Siuw's work is not only on the highest possible level, speaking practically, but she also has a gift for understanding the client's needs, visually, and I'd say, almost spiritually.

These people know my name, they know my projects, they know what will appeal to me and what won't. They go to great pains to order what is needed. I have never been disappointed in this supplier. If they have something that has been returned unused, or is slightly incomplete, they will offer it to me at a lower price. I am so glad this local business is here, and I hope they continue to thrive.
