We contacted Reno Deco in June 2022 to assess extensive damage to three units in our condo caused by water leakage. Eric Turgeon came promptly and submitted a clear and reasonably priced estimate for repairs. His installer, Chris, was very efficient, courteous and professional. The work was completed on time to the satisfaction of all three unit owners. Eric did the final touchups himself and provided a report with photos outlining the causes of the original problem, for submission to our insurance. We have dealt with various contractors over the years and would rate Reno Deco and Eric at the top.

We had a major reno on our newly purchased condo a few months ago (two bathrooms, kitchen, flooring, painting and some alterations on walls and cupboards). We chose Trehane Carpentry in large part because of the helpful professional advice from their estimator, Sean, and the owner, Dave Ennor. This was not an easy reno: the elevator was out of commission for three weeks so working material, tools, waste, etc. had to be carried up and down the stairs and kitchen cabinets and heavy appliances could not be brought up on schedule. The concrete floor had to be ground down in places to level the surface for the new hardwood flooring. We had to move in because the sale on our previous residence closed while the reno was still underway. During all of this, the Trehane crew chief, Jeff, and his crew were courteous, flexible and resourceful in adjusting to the delays. They were always open to our comments and tried to satisfy our concerns. The electrical, plumbing and tiling subcontractors did very good work, with special mention for Kelly Konig and her painting team. As always in renovations, there have been glitches and retouching required but Dave has been very conscientious about attending to them. He really cares about doing a good job and satisfying his customers. We have no hesitation in recommending Trehane Carpentry. This was our first major reno and I would have some advice for others like us: prepare a detailed layout plan for switches, outlets, b/b heaters, alterations, etc. because change orders cause delays and extra costs; go over the initial contract and any change orders with Trehane in detail to understand how and when work will proceed; be very specific about the material and accessories to be purchased and make sure they are available in-store because delivery delays can set back work for a week or more; be available to discuss and okay any changes that have to be made during the working day, so that things do not get slowed down.

Jake, Andrew and Derek showed up on time and worked efficiently and thoroughly. They were courteous and informative: Jake explained exactly what they were doing in a polite non-condescending way and walked us through the pictures afterwards with a helpful suggestion about having our furnace service company clean the fan blades. Derek spotted a problem with the cold air return and suggested how it might be resolved. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them and will use them next time around. If only I could find an electrical contractor like this!
