I needed a rooftop deck installed on an existing flat roof and found M&R through a blog post. They were very responsive by email, which is rare to find in construction. The scope included a ~13'x17' pressure treated wood deck with wood railing on three sides. The main issue was not to puncture the existing roofing membrane, which they satisfied by slipping styrofoam pads under the posts. I needed the deck fast and they were able to mobilize quickly, though there were some delays due to delivery of wood and weather, generally outside their control. When I called about the delays, they were quick to act, calling the wood supplier or erecting a tarp to work through some rain. The work was done well, except that a couple items I had discussed originally on site were not executed. One was that a step was framed too high, so it was basically the same level as the deck and thus a tripping hazard, which Mark was quick to acknowledge and came back to fix at no extra cost. The other was that we had discussed bolting the posts back to the house, which I also mentioned to the installers, but this was not done, and they noted that the weight should hold it down. Generally the installers came over a couple days and didn't disturb us at all, and cleaned up afterwards, except after fixing the step some wood was left around, but they were quick to offer to come back and take it away. Overall I would recommend them for a good straightforward job. Great service and well run business.

Callrich did a great job and they were a pleasure to work with during construction. My timeline was pretty tight but they managed to make it work. Stephen was keen on communicating with updates to the schedule and cost, and followed up to make sure everything went well. The guys on site finished faster than estimated and stayed well past normal working hours to complete the job. The last day they stayed past 8 pm to scrap off excess foam and make sure the job site was left in a clean state. You can always tell a good contractor by how they maintain site conditions, and Callrich was no exception. I would recommend their services to anyone.
