We got quotes from three vendors and chose Alpine based on recommendations and price. We own a semi, and they had done our neighbours' roof several years ago with positive reviews. The company rep was responsive in meeting with us and in providing a quotation. We are very pleased with the workmanship on the roof overall. The finished look is very attractive and exactly what we had hoped for, and after several heavy downpours we have not had problems with the roof in any way. The things that cause me to give Alpine a lower rating are more related to customer service than anything else: -Our back porch had shingled walls, and not knowing anything about these kinds of jobs we asked for it to be redone with shingles. The sales rep quoted it that way, but when work began the foreman suggested that aluminum siding would give us a much better look and that shingles would be problematic to install and maintain in a number of ways. We appreciated the foreman's suggestion and followed it - but wished our sales rep had been more knowledgeable to question what we were asking for and suggest different options earlier in the process. -The job was originally scheduled to take place over three days. In the first two days, the peaked and flat roof portions were fully replaced leaving only the fascia boards, soffits/aluminum and siding to complete. It took another week and a half for the crews to come in and complete this work. Despite repeated calls to the sales representative, we were not able to get a clear sense of when the crews would be coming back to finish the job. On several occasions we would be told they would be there tomorrow, only to wait and have them not arrive. -The company sent us the invoice before the job was done - in fact, while we were still waiting to know when the crews would be back to complete it. It's a small thing, but seriously - finish the job first.

When we decided to replace our windows and doors, we had four companies in to quote. We chose Brock Windows and Doors and couldn't be happier with the decision. Our sales representative, Sandy, was friendly and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. Unlike the reps from other companies, he didn't layer on the pressure or try to up-sell us into things we didn't need (like extra glazing, stay-clean finishes or brick-to-brick installation). Brock's pricing was excellent, and as part of a special seasonal deal they upgraded us to triple-pane windows free of change. The installation was delayed a day by rain, but Alex and his team were wonderful about rescheduling to a date that was convenient for us. They worked quickly and were friendly, professional and exceptionally tidy, leaving the house and yard as clean as they found it. The doors and windows themselves look amazing and function well. It's amazing the difference they make in our home's appearance, and I can only imagine how much more energy efficient the place will be come winter. Thank you, Brock Doors and Windows, for a great experience!

I'm not surprised to see Canaduct getting so many positive reviews -I've found them a great choice. I sent out inquiries to several companies about duct cleaning over a long weekend, thinking I'd probably get calls back later in the week. Or from Canaduct called me back within hours and was available to come in the following day. The appointment was quick and went smoothly. Or was very respectful of our home, cleaned all the ducts and returns to my satisfaction and offered some great tips on how to keep the house clean and dust-free. The cost was very reasonable, especially given the quality and speed of service. All in all it was a great experience. I would highly recommend Canaduct and will be using them again the next time I need to have my ducts cleaned.
