I had a bunch of badly damaged bricks on my chimney from a broken gutter. Dave from Red Robin was easy to work with. They spent a lot of time trying to get the closest match possible for our brick, which was difficult since it is no longer made. The crew showed up when scheduled, did a great job and cleaned up the site thoroughly. Definitely a great experience and will use them again in the future for masonry work.

Serge was great to work with. His quote was in the middle of the pack price wise but I was most comfortable with him. The work was delayed a bit due to the constant rain this spring, but he kept me informed and let me know when the work would be rescheduled. His crew showed up when they were scheduled and did a great job. They kept the site clean and the work looks great.

We decided to convert our basement laundry room into a combined laundry and full bath. We interviewed several contractors and John from Avonlea stood out as being very knowledgeable. He also had no issues working with a permit - which surprisingly many contractors don't want to touch. The job started on time but we ran into an issue when the floor was opened up to do the rough ins. Due to the location of the existing drain we weren't able to locate the toilet where we had initially wanted it. Also at some point the existing plumbing stack had been modified in a way that no longer met code. John immediately scheduled a meeting the next morning at my house with himself, Domenic, and Clive (who did all the work except the plumbing). We figured out a new design and John gave me a fair additional cost for fixing the existing stack and reframing a wall to make the room a bit bigger to account for the new design. After that the job went along perfectly and we are very happy with the results. What impressed me most about Avonlea was the communication. John never took more than a few hours to respond to my emails - even though I probably asked more questions than any other client for such a small project. This was gave me a lot of confidence in the company. Clive also clearly took a lot of pride in his work and it showed in the end result. I definitely recommend Avonlea for your next project.

We were looking for a carpenter to build a built in bench /w storage for our kitchen. We have a custom Sapele kitchen and wanted to make sure the bench matched perfectly. After reading the reviews on homestars we decided to go with Mulligan. Right from the beginning Kellye and Michael were great. They understood exactly what we wanted and had very good feedback and suggestions. The end product was delivered ahead of schedule and looks incredible. The installation crew spent nearly a full day making sure every detail was perfect. We highly recommend Mulligan for any kind of custom wood work. In fact whenever we buy our next house we're probably gonna have them do the kitchen and all kinds built ins.

I had skylights unlimited install a remote opening skylight with a flared tunnel above our stair case. The crew showed up on time every day and did and outstanding job. They had to build a scaffold to get to the ceiling, and they took the care to pad everything out so our floors weren't damaged. They also built a plastic tent around the opening in the ceiling so none of the blown insulation would get into our house. The final result looks fantastic. It's been one year and we've had no issues of any kind. Would definitely recommend them for your skylight project.
