This review is for Wow1Day painting (York/Durham). They were recommended by a friend who had them paint the interior of his house. My job involved exterior painting around perimeter of the roof line. This included prepping and painting all wood fascia and siding. I compared Wow1Day to other painting companies with good ratings on Homestars. They were one of 3 companies I decided to get quotes from. If you call the main number they will route your request to the appropriate franchise depending on where you live. Kim is the owner for my area but Doug was the manager that came to give me the quote. Doug was punctual and very responsive by email or phone from the time he reviewed what I wanted to get done to the day of the job. The quote was competitive to the other companies I had checked but one of the reasons I chose them was the open communication. Doug entertained all options that I was considering which changed the scope of the work quite a few times and he was patient with my requests. He revised the quotes quickly and made suggestions along the way. Initially I was concerned about the quality of the work as Doug confirmed that the work would be completed in one day while other companies needed more time. But I was assured they guaranteed their product and my friend only had good things to say about them. On the day of the job Candice and Chris arrived to do the work. They were on time, organized and did a fantastic job. What impressed me the most was their attention to detail and the pride they took in their work. They stayed until the paint job was done right and made sure that the finished product look good. They also enjoyed what they were doing which was notable. I would not hesitate to recommend Wow1Day York/Durham. I do not know about the other locations but Kim's crew is awesome.

My existing furnace (through builder) was on its last legs. Did some research and found Energy Clean through the Baeumler Approved website (http://www.baeumlerapproved.ca/). Spoke to Scott who gave me information and pricing on various options for replacing my furnace. All of the options were competitive for equivalent models from other companies I spoke with. He worked with me to find a furnace solution within my budget. He was responsive and always answered my technical questions. Installation was done by a qualified HVAC technician. It went smooth and any issues were resolved in a timely manner. I highly recommend Energy Clean.
