10++++++ On time, On budget, polite, friendly, AMAZING! Our house is very close to the water table and our basement was constantly damp. The dampness would get worse when it would rain and water would trickle in from various cracks and holes in the foundation. It was not possible for us to do traditional exterior waterproofing so we needed an interior water management system. Last November, Mud Monkeys tore up our existing concrete floor and dug out about 9 inches of wet earth. All that material went out of a very small window by shovel and wheel barrow. They then plugged the holes in the foundation, installed a waterproof membrane, an interior weeping tile and a sump pit. They then back-filled with gravel and poured a brand new concrete floor. (We also had plumbing work done by a different company.) We were very impressed with the team and with the work. The workers were diligent, polite and friendly. Darby was always easy to get a hold of and responded to all our questions and concerns. They worked hard; the project was done on time and on budget. It has been several months since the project was completed, with several very rainy periods, and the basement has remained dry. We are very happy and feel confident that we can now proceed with finishing the basement.

While in the process of getting our basement waterproofed, we decided to get the tubing installed for radiant heating since a new concrete slab would be poured. We brought Christian in to do the work and we were very happy with the work his team did and with the interactions we had with him. He showed up the day before he was scheduled to do the install to make sure everything was ready. The installation of insulation, mesh and tubing took about 3 hours and he took the time to explain everything he did. He was even willing to come in the day before the waterproofing started to strap the hot water tank, something neither Direct Energy nor another contractor were willing to do and despite the weight, it hasn't budged. He's even willing to install a new thermostat for us for no extra charge. We will definitely be bringing him back when it comes time to replace the furnace and ducts in the basement and to install a boiler for the radiant heating.

Lou came and did several related jobs for us. He removed some old unused gas lines, ran a new gas line to the kitchen and hooked up our our new gas stove and strapped our furnace to the joists in preparation for some upcoming basement renovations. Lou was very friendly and professional. He called ahead to indicate he would be late and explained very well how he would approach the different tasks. He had me observe while he tested all the new gas connections (and some of the old ones), which I found very reassuring, and took the time to explain a few things like how to re-light the hot water tank. I was very impressed and would gladly hire him again.
