I was impressed with The Home Cleaning Team from the very beginning. When I first called Jacob he spent a good amount of time on the phone going over our cleaning priorities and experiences with previous cleaners. He made it clear that he wanted to address any issues we've had in the past so that he could make us satisfied with his service. Setting up our first clean was easily done by text. The cleaner was punctual and very professional. I gave her a tour of the house and she was careful to ask about specific details and what our priorities were (e.g. do we want the inside of kitchen cabinets cleaned?). When she was finished, she took me around to show me what she had done and make sure that I was satisfied and nothing was missed before discussing payment. She did a wonderful and thorough job! We are so happy with how clean our house is. This is definitely the best cleaning service we've had so far. Later that day I received a follow up text from Jacob to see how everything went. It's clear that he really cares that his customers are satisfied. Yes, this service cost more than other cleaning services we have used in the past. But, this is definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". I appreciate that Jacob is willing to work with you budget, and you can definitely ask the cleaners to focus on your high priority areas.

Do NOT use this company. Here is my story. We have had them come to clean our house three times. They were scheduled to come clean on our usually day this week. I received a confirmation email stating the expected time of the clean. I left the key in the lockbox and left payment for the cleaners in the exact same location as I had for the previous three cleans. That afternoon I received a voicemail from Kim, the owner telling me that the cleaners had been by, cleaned our house, but could not find the payment. She demanded that I call her back and give her a credit card so that they could be paid. I called her back immediately, explained that i had left payment in the exact same location as always. She informed me that the cleaners had already left our house and asked me to leave the payment for her to pick up the next day. When I arrived home, our house was in exactly the same state as we had left it that morning. There was NO evidence of ANY cleaning whatsoever - garbage cans still full, dirty dishes in the sink, dust on all of the surfaces, grime in the bathroom sinks, bed unmade etc. I called Kim immediately and left a voicemail explaining that our house had not been cleaned and that we would not be paying for a service that had not been provided. The next day Kim called me back again stating that the cleaners stated that they did clean and that a payment was due. I should have known better. On our second scheduled clean, the cleaners showed up at least 3 hours later than expected, told me that their previous job went longer than expected, and tried to reassure me that they would work as fast as possible. How about just doing a thorough job? Another time, they rinsed our dishes with water, no soap and left a passive aggressive note for us stating that cleaning dishes is not part of their regular services. Bottom line: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

As I said in my last email to you, I am truly sorry for the mix up and the frustration it caused you when my team went to the wrong house. I know you wrote this review before you and I learned the series of events that caused all the confusion, but I can assure you this was an unusual situation that won’t happen again. My offer for a free clean or a reduced price moving forward if you want to resume service still stands if you change your mind. I value your business and your feedback and would appreciate the opportunity make it up to you.
