On the day of the move, they refused to take my (apartment sized) upright piano because I had front steps, which I had informed them about at the time of the booking. I had to scramble and book another mover who got it done easily a few days later, but it cost extra to book the second mover and it was very stressful. Then, after Covid related renovation delays, I was finally able to hang my art only to realize that I was missing one of 3 large TV box containing irreplaceable art that never came into my new home. They claim no knowledge of it and have done nothing about it (I did not opt for their insurance). If you have anything of value do not use them, if you must - number and count your boxes. I really regret hiring these movers and recommend you find someone else. I feel compelled to add a note because of their response. I was never rude, that is not true. I was scrambling to find a piano mover. I also provided accurate information about my front steps at the time of the booking. The lead moving guy just didn't want to do it, he admitted earlier to me that he'd had a tough job the day before. They did suggest an alternative mover for the piano, but they'd not be able to confirm their availability for two days and I couldn't wait because of real estate deadlines, so it wasn't helpful. My art is gone, but they don't care or take any responsibility. Moving is challenging, but Angel Movers made it much worse. If you can find someone else, I recommend you do.

Company Response

Dear Mrs. Aitken,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Angel Movers.
Yes, we did decline to move your piano for a good reason. You informed us that you have a few steps at the front door which we were fine with. There is a big difference between a few steps and a full flight of stairs with two sharp turns in them.

After our staff showed up they called an Angel Manager to come to your home to look at the full flight of stairs leading up to your front door which was on the second floor.

There were two 90 degree turns on your staircase that made moving your piano a high risk for injury. This was a serious issue for us, and we referred you to a company that could help you.

YOU REFUSED AND GOT RUDE BEYOND WORDS!
VERBAL ABUSE has no place at Angel Movers and will not be tolerated regardless of your age.

In this case we would have recommended you to Braymore Specialty Movers. They specialize in heavy and tricky access piano moves. We wish you had been honest and told us your piano was on the second floor right from the start.

Regarding your missing box: Yes, you did waive your insurance and you also waited 6 months to file a claim. Even if you did buy insurance from us, there would be no claim after 6 months.

We are a premier moving company and we conduct high end moving services for the past 15 years. Suggesting to other customers that we are dishonest is only a reflection of the authors personality and it's a true shame.

We are sorry you had a bad experience and hope you will reconsider writing the actual facts on moving day and not the bent truth the way you did here in attempt to damage our stellar reputation.

We wish you well.
Angel Management

I thought I was going to have to replace some fixtures because they kept burning out. Pierre made a couple of small adjustments and the problem was solved, and he got me a great deal on LED bulbs. I totally trust Pierre and would hire him again.
