I moved into a 2,000 sq.ft. corner unit condo with a south/east exposure, shades were a necessity. I called in a few firms, who sent someone to measure. Some firms gave me a quote on the spot after spending an hour or more to figure it out, and some got back to me with a quote. They were all quoting on much the same material and the same windows. The prices varied by as much as $1,000. One of the firms I called in was Sun Cover Sun Shades. Andy arrived at precisely the appointed time, he went through our condo in no more than 20 minutes. He had the samples with him and gave me a firm quote on the spot. It was the lowest quote I received. I hesitated because, as we all know, a bargain isn't always a bargain in the end. As well, he didn't have any samples of the finished product, which made me hesitate further. When I expressed my concern on placing an order for an 'unknown'. He offered to make up one shade for me and if I wasn't satisfied, then we would not do business. Andy's installer, Elan, arrived within a few days with the sample finished product and installed the shade. It looked very good indeed, so I decided to go ahead with the order. Again within a very short time, the entire order arrived. This was so muich quicker than any of the competing firms. Elan works like magic. In no time he had all the units installed and they all fit perfectly. In a few days , I noticed that the grain on one of the shades was going in the wrong direction. I phoned Andy, who sent Elan to see what the problem was. Elan quickly agreed that there was indeed a problem and took the blind away for replacement. Within a few days, the replacement blind arrived and was installed, it was perfect. Now, that's good customer service! If you are planning on installing shades, do call in a few firms, but among those, I would strongly recommend that you include, Sun Cover Sun Sun Shades. When it comes to product, price, promptness, installation, after- delivery service and of course customer service, I think you would have a difficult time doing better than this firm.

It all started off well. User-friendly website, where one can figure out the cost of the move, without the song & dance routine from a moving company rep. This company was recommended to me by someone who witnesses many moves and the ratings were acceptable. I made it clear that I had heavy antiques and would pay whatever cost required to ensure their safe transportation. I was assured that all items would be wrapped. The crew of three arrived just a little late, surveyed the furnishings to be moved and worked quickly and efficiently - they had a condo-time window, 9 to 5 for elevator use. Late morning, I provided snacks for the crew and they stopped just long enough to eat and drink. I did not watch the loading of the van, but rather the activity in the condo. When we arrived at the new condo, I noticed that many of the large items had been transported on their side or back, not a good idea for old furniture. The unloading went smoothly, when noticed a fresh gouge in a sewing bench, I pointed it out to the team leader, who quickly denied having been responsible. Yes, they seemed to have wrapped all items, but this damage wasn't present before leaving. I let it go because it seemed to be the only damage and the item wasn't of great value. I was, however, miffed at the denial. Even into the late afternoon, the team continued to work very hard. When it came time to pay the bill, I gave each team member a $20. tip. I was informed that this wasn't enough, that the expected tip was 10%, which in our case was a total of $100. It was pointed out to me in the print on the invoice that the 'suggested' tip was 10%. If service companies feel that their employees should be paid an additional 10%, then that percentage should be built in to the fee charged and the tip left to the discretion of the customer. I did pay the $100. tip requested, but it left me feeling somewhat manipulated and what would have been an almost perfect move, turned out to be a disappointment.

Thank you very much for your review Claudette~ Sorry for what happened on your move. We have started an investigation for this event. Furthermore, we have since changed our charging structure where this would not happen again. Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to improve! All the very best from Karen & Jia Jia moving team.

Bohdan and Leo work very well together in that their skills complement each others. They handled the room full of Ikea boxes so quickly and efficiently, obviously they are well practiced. Problematic areas were dealt with creativity and practically. The finished installation was truly impressive, as you can see from the photos. Yes, I would recommend this team to the fussiest homeowners. Can't seem to add the photos.
