This is the second home and second time mud monkeys has lowered my basement. As far as contractors go, Darby and his crew are an absolute dream to work with. They keep the site very clean, manage everything perfectly and conduct themselves professionally. Customer satisfaction is their first priority and I highly reccomend going with them for any services they provide.

My husband and I bought this small home about 7 years ago, and have taken all those years to renovate it (ourselves) from the inside out. In anticipation of finally finishing those small nagging building projects, I quickly realized we had a long way to go before we could actually call it "home". Renovating is one part of the transformation... but decorating and making a functional space in a small open concept home is another! With 2 small kids, and a busy household we just didn't have the time or knowledge to finish the space. We decided we needed someone to help us - and called on Second Wind Interior Design. Ana's initial consultation was brilliant. She took a lot of time to ask me thoughtful questions about our place, she wanted to learn more about us and our household needs to make sure her recommendations were spot on. And they were. She created a document outlining her recommendations, with visuals and explanations. She did most of the shopping for the furniture, and then took me with her to actually see what she selected before we bought! Talk about personal service. She did it all, and was fabulous. Oh yeah, and did I mention affordable? She gets great discounts on furniture and other decorating things. And her consultations and design services are worth every penny. I'd have her back in a flash. We've lived in a bit of chaos over the last few weeks as furniture has come in and the painter finished up the walls, but we are officially done. Our living space has been transformed, and it exceeded all expectations in its functionality and look when we hosted 10 adults and 10 kids for a holiday get together yesterday. Everyone couldn't believe how great our place was - and my husband and I were finally proud to host people in our little home! Thanks Ana!

Alice & John:

I'm so happy that I was able to help you finally finish your wonderful home. It was such a pleasure to work with someone that was willing to take some chances: like with fixtures you weren't sure about and to pull off an exciting colour/fabric scheme! Now you can "breathe" and just enjoy it!

This is a story that spans 6 years. 6 years ago, we bought a house that needed to be completely gutted which included having a new furnace and all new ductwork installed. We were new to house renovations but asked three contractors to provide quotes and went with the company that seemed reasonable. Air One got the job and everything started out fine and was progressing like we thought it should. Then I happen to notice a bulb from my cordless flashlight disappeared and the thing that made it obvious was that one of the contractors had the same flashlight as me. The guy didn't even put a busted bulb back in, he just left it empty. Yes I know it was just a bulb but the point was there were guys in my house taking my property. I confronted them but they of course denied so I let it slide. As the job progressed, they became more difficult to work with. So much so, that I had to withhold final payment in order to get them to come back and finish the job properly. They reluctantly came back but not without threatening to put a lien on our house. Now, 6 years later, I'm looking into getting our AC unit replaced because it isn't cooling the house properly and never really has. As it turns out, Air One didn't do a proper job with the plenum making our current configuration completely inefficient for both heating and AC so now if we want to replace our AC, we have to have the plenum completely rebuilt. I have yet to receive a quote on that but it's not going to be cheap. As it turns out, the job they did shouldn't have passed inspection which is another issue all together. So, to summarize, they "Borrowed" my property, threatened me, and didn't do a proper job which will now cost me more money.

Thank you for your feed back John. Aire One Heating and Cooling considers our customers to be the very heart of our company. We strive to keep them happy and comfortable in their homes. Unfortunately miscommunications do happen. With over 120,000 customers there may be a small number of customers that Aire One simply cant make happy. We have 24 hour service, 2 hour emergency service and we operate 7 days a week to serve our customers.

Darby and his team were on time and on budget and worked with me to achieve exactly what was desired. After Darby had completed the job, the city changed our inspector who of course found something he wasn't happy with. Even though Darby followed the recommendations of the previous inspector, he came back no questions and addressed the issue. As far as I'm concerned, Darby and the Mud Monkeys are an 11 out of 10
