I was impressed when Patrick first came to introduce himself and his company. He was well organized, respectful, personable, and it was obvious he took pride in what he did. I am a difficult person to please so when they did such an amazing job., I was elated. It was perfect! My neighbors have all commented on the great job he did and at a good price too. I will definitely have them back for other jobs as well as to repaint the terrible jobs that other painters messed up in my bathroom, kitchen and living room. I really wish I had known Student Works Painting then. In my opinion, I won't use any other company and recommend this company for any painting jobs. Thank you so much

I couldn't post this without a recommendation and satisfaction rating so I will tell you why. I'm moving out of the city October 28th and came across Moveworks. Michael just came over and with the great quote he gave and his integrity (that means a lot) i signed with him. After he left I felt that I needed to read the reviews on Homestars and i have to tell you as a service provider myself, we meet the most cantankerous individuals where nothing will ever satisfy them. I deal with many service providers in my field and I am confident that Moveworks Inc is going to do a very much better job than the others i contacted. My advice is to not listen to these bad reviews because there are always two sides to the story. i am very impressed with Michael and his company and having moved people myself I know what it means to be responsible for other peoples treasure. You could hire a huge supposedly reputable company and get a mess full of problems but a family run business, as mine is, means the most to us and we go out of our way to service our clients with pride, integrity, excellent professional business ethics and fairness to those who hire them. Sometimes you just have to take a chance in life, and then when its over and the stress of the event ends, give credit where credit is due. P.S. You can bet i will write a review after the move and the dust settles, and you can bet that it will be awesome. You've got my vote Moveworks!

Steve and I belong to the same networking group (DNA) and listening to his 60 second speech mentioned that regular service on utility appliances is paramount for their continued operation. As a busy business owner myself and female homeowner, I don't always think of this to do. I spoke to Steve after the meeting and told him that I had many questions and concerns at my home regarding these appliances so he told me that he would pop in himself to address them for me. Within the hour Steve was at my door going through each concern both in detail and to a level of understanding I could relate to. I was totally amazed with Steve and his knowledge, integrity, and professionalism. He represents trust and confidence that is so hard to find today, and i am so grateful to now have him taking care of my home in the superior way that he is now doing. I had also mentioned to Steve that I had a potential plumbing problem that needed to be addressed, and after spending hundreds of dollars with previous incompetent plumbers who I had terrible experiences with, Steve made a call on my behalf and within the hour a plumber showed up as well, actually fixed the problem this time, saving me time, money, and stress associated with having to go through another bad plumber. Steve has exceeded every possible expectation on every level and in my opinion there is no better company than Air In Motion to service and maintain your heating and cooling needs. Thanks Steve for being there for me! Having you in my home now is.......priceless!

What could this company do to improve their services?
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?

People should be aware of this company who does work they are NOT qualified to do!! I needed my basement finished but knew nothing about hiring a contractor. The mover (Maaz @ Old Towne Cartage Moving company) that I was using for my clients told me he knew an excellent contractor and made arrangements for him to come to do an estimate. They came at 9:30pm at night. I wasn't impressed with this guy introduced to me as Tony who gave me no business card, wrote up no contract and said very few words to me. He took no measurements and bc I told him I had been quoted $6,000 from a previous contractor, said he would do it for that BUT it excluded a bathroom and floor. They left and called later saying they had to come back to measure?? They showed up again late at night with another guy (Chris) who measured the room, asked questions about what I wanted, and I felt a little more confident in Chris's abilities. Tony wanted 1/2 the money up front (I didn't know better) and then told me he wanted another $400 cash to buy the materials the next day bc the bank would hold the $3,000 bank draft I gave him and the work would be delayed. I only had $300 cash with me but he was happy with that and took it. Chris told me the materials he delivered were below standard and low grade and then asked why I kept calling him Tony when his name was Arten. I got on the phone to Maaz and he said I was just nervous about the job being done the way I wanted and promised the work would be perfect to my satisfaction. The work then got delayed bc he had to rent a truck to deliver the materials and there were so many excuses I decided to ask Chris who was the ONLY one who showed up to do the work (never Tony) to tell me about Tony. Chris said that he just met him on a job recently and he didn't know much about him except that (Chris) was hired for this job to do the drywall only and bc Tony didn't know how to do the framing he was upset that he had to do that too. He also told me that Tony was Maaz's brother-in-law and that Tony was only a painter and NOT a contractor. When Tony finally did show up I pulled him aside and demanded answers. He had none so he insulted Chris right in front of him by saying that he had better drywall guys he could use than Chris, so Chris told him to go ahead and do it, packed up and left the job saying he wasn't coming back. I was furious and told Tony Chris was the only good thing about this job. When I demanded my money back from Tony he chuckled saying that there was no contract so basically"screw off" and then ran out of the house. I called Maaz and he played innocent. I asked him if he was related and he said he was and that he was helping him bc he has only been in the country 4 years. When I started looking into AA Perfect painting I found his ad on Kijiji and found both Maaz's and Tony's telephone numbers were listed. Maaz was getting a piece of the money too. They both owned the company and took me for a lot. Maaz said I wasn`t getting my money back either. They took advantage of me. Not only am I a struggling single mom but I have serious health issues that have given me less time to live and the reason I was finishing my basement, so I could sell it. I used that $12,000 it finally cost me to finish the basement that I was going to use for funeral arrangements and both Maaz and Tony knew that. what kind of people do that to someoneÉ

I used to use Scannell Moving for my clients exclusively with m minimal damage. In 2010 I had them move my senior client and they showed up to the job late with the impression that the leader was hung over as he said that he was. He smelled like alcohol and was witnessed by the client, her daughter and myself. When they had finished loading the truck they said they were going to Tim Horton's down the street for lunch which they did not do as I went to meet them there and they were not there. As they unloaded the furniture at the new location they had broken furniture, mirrors and almost all of the poor senior's possessions. We all smelled recent alcohol on the boss Ben. When the job was done he took her $800 and it was then when re-arranging the furniture that we noticed most of it was in a broken state that was not in that condition before they came. I went to Scannell and spoke to the owner who stood up for Ben. I came to find out later that that Ben owned his own truck and was an asset to the company in that respect. They refused to fire him but said that he would look into it and fire him if he felt it was true. I stopped using them immediately. Approximately a month ago I was packing at a job when the movers arrived. I could recognize his voice from the other room and when I saw him he had grown a facial hair but it was him. He had forgotten where he had met me and I kept a low profile so he wouldn't remember me and take it out on the client. In the meantime I went outside and called the client and told her of my experience with them. After the move I asked her how it went and she told me that they had scratched her floor and did some damage. Scannell was a good moving company otherwise for the exception to when Ben was doing the job. If you use them, make sure that you indicate that you do not want him or expect damages. I would recommend them only on conditions. I have since started using other movers who are reputable, reliable, efficient and more cost effective.
