I saw such high reviews on this site for Manhattan so I had very high expectations. I was disappointed when the move cost twice as much as the original quote had been. I was also quite disappointed to find after my moe that my couch has a hole in it and my record player is broken. The packing was note done very well at all and the company was to apologetic afterwards. For the amount I paid to pack and move which was nearly $2000 for a one bedroom condo, I expected more.
This customers expectations of hiring an excellent mover were met and a success. This move took place during the TORONTO ELEVATOR STRIKE and we were not told prior that both moving sites were seriously affected. One would think she would have known because this situation makes a move longer. We packed her interior goods one day and moved her the next. She paid $76.28 less then the original home visit estimate but not near the price quoted in this review. We also gave her a free worker because of the elevator strike which helped her a lot in time and thought this was very gracious on our part. Prior to her move we had told her that her sofa was not insurable due to prior damages and the legs were missing as per our contract terms and conditions. Her move if she read the contract from the home visit was not twice as much. It was actually less then quoted. On moving day she gave the movers a gratuity and told them they did a great job! We also sent her a $100.00 customer service gesture check but not for any perceived complaint, We were never invited to look or view any complaint.
