I had a coupon for this store so I went in and got the paint I needed for some projects I was working on. The employees were very helpful in helping me choose the right types of paint in the right quantities. I had no idea what I was doing and they made it easy for me. When we rang up the total I was shocked. Even with the coupon my purchase was significantly more than it would have been elsewhere. After paying I realized that I had bought too much to get home on my bike. The employees were very kind about my stupidness and one of them drove me home with my paint. In the end I'd say that the excellent service was almost worth the extra I paid for the paint.

When shopping for a router I called several places to get the best price I could. Computer Trends had the same prices as futureshop, so I went with them. I got my router and brought it home and couldn't figure out how to install it. I called the manufacturer and they were worse than useless. i called my internet provider and they were useless, too. so i called the store. they were simply amazing. after spending an hour on the phone with me trying to coach me through the installation they suggested i bring both the router and my computer (not bought from them) in. I did and they helped me right away. They not only set up the router, they fixed a few bugs in my computer for free. Then they carried the computer out to the car for me. Their support went above and beyond what i could have hoped for, and I intend to buy from them again in the future.

Whenever I need fabric I visit Mitchell's. they have a huge selection, including some great retro prints. The staff all know their stuff and are happy to help. I keep going back there time and time again.

After another company let me down badly, Leslie from Reliable Home & Garden experts came and did an excellent job. She was quick, very tidy, friendly, was happy to negotiate a fair price, and was overall the best home maintenance/ repair person i've come across.

The Handyman Connection charges slightly more than other contracting/ home repair outfits because they promise to get a carpenter/ plumber/ electrician/ whatever to your home in a timely manner and get the job done right. I've hired them three times the first two i was ok with paying a little extra because they actually showed up and they did a good job. The third time, however, the tiler didn't show up. I called the company and found out that he'd left town permanently a few days before. I asked when they were sending someone else, and the company tried to make it my problem. I insisted that they solve their own staffing problem, and they did- too late. My confidence in them was shot and i lost some rent because my tenants had to live without a bathroom for a little while.

Unfortunately, I don't recall the specific situation you are referring to. However, I do apologize for the experience that you had dealing with Handyman Connection in this situation, and any resulting frustration it may have caused.
From time to time we do have staffing situations arise and we try our best to do whatever we can to resolve the situation favorably for the customer. In most instances we are able to get everything worked out satisfactorily. We regret that your situation turned out as it did, especially after being pleased with our service on the two previous occasions.
