AC unit repair

Joe from Flan Air came to repair our broken AC's compressor unit. Flan Air is subcontracted by Reliance for this kind of work. The capacitor and fan motor needed to be replaced. Joe was very professional, knowledgeable and honest. He even came earlier than expected (on a Sunday) to replace the motor. It was greatly appreciated since the weather was starting to get warmer and the AC would be needed. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone!

Water Heater Installation

I called on Mar. 13 for two water heaters installation and confirmed by Reliance the installation day was on Mar. 17. On the day after the installer came and checked, he said today he cannot do it because he had short of some parts for the work. He promised that next day he or someone will definitely come to do it. I therefore asked him how much I need to pay. He did not ask for any installation fee. The following day became miserable for me. First it came with two sub contractors and then later, followed with a local branch manager of Reliance told these two sub contractors to leave, saying they should not come today. I told this manager that because the building had no hot water for a week already in the middle of cold winter and also the work should have been done yesterday, he just kept telling those installers to leave. At last I begged him and he finally said unless you pay $375, they can stay and do the job. I felt helpless and being threaten by this guy. Eventually two tanks were installed on the same day.
On Mar 18, I reported my situation to Reliance Escalation Team and had the case no RCW5473998. It kept me several days without any response. I make a phone call for the follow-up on Mar. 21 and the lady said she will reply me after contacting local branch. Until right now, I haven't got any response from Reliance but a bill asking me to pay for the installation.
It seems complaints by customers to their company do not do any good at all. I am upset and frustrated by the decision I made to choose Reliance Home Comfort at the first place.
If you are considering Reliance for your home appliance or service, you need to think twice before making that decision.

A/C Service EXCEEDED my Expectations

We have an older furnace and AC unti with the Reliance Protection Plan. Called Reliance on Thursday as cenral air would not work. Serviceman arrived at 7:30 am next morning (Friday). Quickly dignosed a transformer and contact as being a problem. Fixed these and determined there was a refridgerant leak. He determined this was in the furnace evaporator and was covered under the plan. Ordered the part and said it would be delivered to our house on Monday or Tuesday; it arrived the same day Friday.
I called to book the followup service call and they had the second serviceman at our house the same day, Friday, to replace the evaporator; about a 4 hour job. By 5:30 pm Friday we had working A/C.

My expections were exceeded significantly. Two different servicemen, Dave and James, were prompt, efficient, and professional!! They set my expectations, and I was happy with the timing. Then Reliance exceeded my expectations with much faster than expected part delivery and then much faster than expected repair service.

I would highly recommend this service to everyone.

Service

The furnace was making a loud noise. We called Reliance home comfort to come and take a look at it.Paul was here in less then 4 hours.Paul was friendly and courteous he explained everything to us and answered all of our questions. Paul Fixed our furnace in a timely and professional manner. Thank you Paul very much for excellent service.

Furnace & A/C

I received wonderful service from Steve from the London office. I booked to have my furnace & A/C inspected as well as deal with a unique issue of a bird stuck in the exhaust vent. Although customer service provided incorrect information, Steve corrected the situation and helped me and my family by removing the bird and inspecting my heating system. He even fixed the thermostat for us. I was so impressed with the service from Steve that I would recommend the Protection plan to anyone! Thank you so much!!

hot water tank

David called before he came, he took off his shoes when inside, he cleaned the hot water tank and fixed the sensor, and all with a pleasant atmosphere, very professional. Gold Star!

a/c furnace tune up

Scott, the technician, professional, very thorough inspection, was appreciated. This was the best annual service check up that I have received from Reliance. Gives me confidence to remain with Reliance.

Protection Plan

No response to date to my letter of April 22nd, several telephone conversations and still no response. No bills arrived and I believed the service was CANCELLED. A Collections Agency sent a letter wanting payment for a service I believed was cancelled. I have tried to be patient with this situation but I am completely frustrated and will be absolutely sure to share my terrible experience with ALL my friends and family about the lack of respect for their customers this company has.
