The floor of my basement apartment was buckling, and we noticed that the furnace was leaking, but could not locate exactly where. Raz came, found the problems - the pipe had a blockage and also rat-chewed damage - and fixed them. He then placed my dehumidifier where it will dry out the very soggy wood.

Very happy with Extel! Of the three companies I called, they were the only ones who were willing to come and do a quick in-person examination - the others wanted to give their quotes over the phone. Raz was punctual and very knowledgeable - gave me the pro's and con's of doing an exterior vs interior installation, flexible vs. rigid piping. etc. He took a lot of time and trouble to look into whether it was more cost-effective to do an interior installation (ended up ruling this out). On the day of the install he arrived on time, did a very efficient and neat job, and cleaned up the work area. The final installation of the rangetop went very smoothly by the manufacturer, as Raz had covered everything required by them for the gas line. Highly recommend Extel!

Needed emergency gas line repair, late afternoon. Raza showed up in the middle of a snowstorm, was upfront and clear about the work that needed doing and general costs.

Work was performed impeccably, he had all the tools and materials on hand and completed the work without issue. He even went the extra mile and tidied up the loose furnace wiring, leaving his workspace cleaner than when he found out.

Absolutely the most incredible experience! My furnace stopped working on literally the coldest night (-28). I contacted Extel/Raz specifically early morning, about 7am and he came to the rescue! He was patient and understanding while I was overwhelmed and frantic about the whole situation. He explained to me everything in detail to what had happened and what could still potentially happen if other problems aren't resolved.

My furnace quit working at 430pm and so I phoned around trying to find someone to come that evening. Excel gas was the only one who could and so the tech showed up within 2 hours. He diagnosed a seized blower motor but got it working temporarily and said that he couldn’t guarantee that it would last very long. He provided a quote for the new motor - I agreed and he returned the next morning to replace it. I appreciate the quick turnaround. I can’t comment on the cost (emergency repair on a furnace in December) but I’m sure it’s in line with standards. It seemed reasonable to me in any case. I’d totally recommend Extel gas for any hvac work.

Extel was very responsive to our initial quote request and very easy to work with for scheduling. Pricing was fair. Chris was knowledgeable and personable. He found a way to relocate our gas pipe for a new cooktop installation that saved time and money; he didn't just go ahead and do what we had asked, which would have been the wrong placement and solution. At a later service call, Chris and another technician came to install the cooktop. Work was efficient, mess was cleaned up. We just had to make sure that the placement of the pipe and connection was in the right place according to the cook top installation instructions. A bit more time could have been taken to be clear on that. Stove works great, we have access to a safety shut off as requested. Overall, an excellent company to work with.

Worked with Extel gas to install a new 3/4 gas line for BBQ and future heating device (~55 ft). The end to end process was smooth and their gas technician Chris was very knowledgeable and was efficient and clean during the installation. Would recommend them to anyone looking
