Basement Reno

Things that went well:
Workmanship of the trades people, they did an excellent job with the installations and they also maintained cleanliness of the area at the end of each day.
We had selected laminated flooring but we were provided vinyl flooring with a better colour at no extra charge, which was a very nice gesture on the part of the company.
The company was flexible in accommodating our changes during the renovation.
Overall, we would recommend the company for basement renovations.

Things you need to be aware of:
Sales- be ready for additional costs that are not included in the contract,
when the trades come in to do the actual work.
Electrician - we didn't find him to be very customer friendly, and that was also communicated to the PM.
Bar counter top - The measurements were not done correctly, therefore, counter does not even have enough leg space underneath the counter and had to pay extra for the ledge which we thought was included during our design review.
Bathroom tiles: tiles were not installed per the flow of the design (we have the same tiles in our other bathroom so we can tell the difference)
From a project management perspective, we hired Reno Rocket to finish our basement and our reason for that was , we as home owners lack the intricacies of renovation. The whole Reno Rocket team was great to work with, especially Elias, who was very accommodating when required.
