Front Door

Terrible experience and service.
In the Spring of 2021 we decided to upgrade our builder installed front door. After due diligence with quotes from multiple vendors we decided to proceed with Nordik. The sales person seemed honest and genuine in their advice cautioning us that many other vendors would promise expedited delivery times to get our business but that we should expect a more realistic time frame of Sep 2021; about 6 months. We were advised to purchase our own door handle to save some money being assured that every handle would be a fit. We proceeded with Nordik. We purchased the handle in the summer expecting delivery / install in September.
September came and went. We waited patiently. Another few months went by and were finally informed that there were delays but no time line could be provided. Finally, in February we were advised our door arrived and would be installed. We were excited but worried about a major install on Winter. We were assured this would not affect quality. Against our better judgement we went ahead. The door was installed on the coldest day of the year at around -30 degrees. The door handle did not fit. We immediately had to scramble to purchase another. The front entrance missing for almost 6 hours through the delay. The furnace gave out. The install continued into the evening. Finally it was done. The next morning we saw the workmanship for the first time. The caulking was done as if by a 5 year old. Uneven, messy. Understandable given the cold weather. How could anyones hands sustain the cold? We noticed also that the panel was dented. After many phone calls we were assured it would be addressed. 2 months later we had someone out to inventory the issues. Were advised it could be fixed and the dented panel could be replace but they would have to order and manufacture the panel. We waited. And waited. Then finally in October of 2022 they were ready to do the work. Scheduled appointments. Cancelled last minute. And today, the service guy shows up and starts to inventory the issues. I was confused. He states that he is here only to see whats wrong. I show him the emails that show this was already done. That we were informed they had the parts and were going to repair the issues. He is confused as well. His order number doesnt show that and my emails with the order number cant be found.

So here we are. Almost 2 years later. Out almost 8000 dollars. A shoddy door. And no immediate expectation that a resolution is coming soon.
