JRD has done a couple of jobs for us most recently to winterize our hot tub. I can confidently recommend John as a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly professional.

New hot tub and needed someone to help me out with chemicals. Called several companies. John was very busy but made the time to come help me out. My home had just flooded so I was extremely overwhelmed. I really appreciated his respect for my worries.

John with JRD has serviced both my outdoor hottub and indoor swim-spa on multiple occasions. JRD is based over 100km away from where these are located, and they are still more reasonably priced than going with a local service. More importantly, however, John is the oracle of all things spas. Owning spas at different properties, I found John after posting on Reddit asking for a service that seems to know what's going on as multiple services had purported to fix issues without the underlying cause being addressed. Someone posted that I needed to contact John, and after doing so, I have never used another service again.

On the first occasion John came out, he diagnosed the tub as having multiple small leaks, and sold me a $45 chemical sealant on the spot that bought us 2 more years with the old tub, when the local services (two separate ones) had proposed a 4-figure "fix" that likely would not have worked, or a new tub.

I recently called John back as our old tub is on it's last legs and he advised against further fixing, as he felt it would just continue to have issues and instead of charging us more, said we may be better off buying a new spa and gave us recommendations.

I have recommended JRD to friends, and everyone instantly recognizes that this is the best company to deal with. Spas and spa repair is an opaque industry overall, but John is such a pleasure to deal with, that we will never use another company again.

As an aside I understand JRD also services the facilities of the local pro sports team. Thank you JRD for the honest and amazing work.

What a fabulous dude! Thought I had a new and very large paperweight on my hands. However John thought outside the box and saved me some money and a whole lotta hassle. Very personable fella who clearly knows the ins and outs of our outdoor tubs. Highly recommend JRD.

I had John out a few times this summer/fall to help troubleshoot my leaky Beachcomber hot tub - he is very informative and gave me a ton of helpful advice for DIY as well as perform any repair work in person as needed. I got 2 new motors to replace the aging ones, as well as a new hot tub cover from him. John takes the time to explain everything he is doing and let me help out where I could so I learned how to DIY some things as needed. Stellar service, he's my go to for all things hot tub related. I'm very happy with the service. John knows his stuff and did a great job inspecting, repairing, and cleaning a very old hot tub that came with a house we bought and that needed some TLC. He explained everything he was doing and why, pointed out issues that didn't need immediate attention but to keep an eye on in the future, and provided and demonstrated all of the necessary kit to keep the hot tub chemically balanced. I recommend this company.

We "inherited" a hot tub with the purchase of our new home and wanted to learn how to properly maintain it. Jonathon came by after hours during a very busy time of the year and took the time to explain our spa and patiently and thoroughly walk through how to properly care for it. John came out almost immediately to troubleshoot our hot tub issue. He was extremely knowledgeable, nice and knew the cause right away. I was so impressed with his expertise and quickness to help us get our tub back up and running!
