Raptor mover review

Ok so this is a late review mostly because the time I could have spent writing a positive review was taken up getting the rest of our stuff on our own and going back and forth between Milton and Barrie!

I will start off by saying the 3 young men that moved us were very polite and worked hard but all three of them were new! Not one senior person on our move of a 3 bedroom house. My husband communicated with David and someone else came out to our place to review how much stuff we had. Neither were actually there to do our move. We were told $1200 for whatever could fit in a 26ft truck to be at our house 9am Sunday July 4th. We called Saturday to confirm everything was good because we had not heard from them even though we booked a month or more in advance. After many Unanswered calls we finally messaged through WhatsApp so we could see if the message was read. We were then told that both trucks broke down but they were going to do our move but at 2pm Sunday.

We had everything Wrapped and Packed on the lower levels of the house to save some work. Well….2:30pm rolled around and no call from them so we reached out and they said they would be there at 4:45pm. Truck got to our new place at 10pm and finished unloading at midnight. Our house was full of moths and mosquitoes from having the doors open. They moved everything by hand instead of using a Dolly.

My husband was there when they packed the truck at the old house and it was so poorly packed that there were huge gaps of space that could have been used. We ended up extending rental of our storage space and renting a truck to pickup the rest of our stuff because they couldn’t fit it on the truck. This also added two additional trips to and from the city.

I guess when they charge by the truck load they don’t mean full truck. Next time we will definitely be using a larger company instead of supporting small. Very disappointing. My recommendation for your company as someone who has worked in customer service environments for over 25years is Improve your communication with clients, if we knew it would be so inconvenient to move us we could have gotten someone else. Have at least one senior mover on the job to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and make the most use of your truck especially when charging by the truck load. I really hope you take this feedback to heart. You advertise that you take the stress out if moving but having you move us was the most stressful part!
