Capital Appliance Repair

When my oven died on me, Capital Appliance arrived quickly and they knew immediately what the problem was. The service reps arrived when we were told they would be there and they provided quick and professional service.

My GE profile fridge stopped working and I called CAR to come out and have a look. They sent out Arthur within an hour of my call. He was pleasant and got right to work assessing the problem. He advised that we would need a new inverter and then ordered the part which arrived the following day. He then returned to install the part and we paid the remainder of the $935 bill on our visa. Unfortunately, the new part did not fix the problem and Arthur returned the following day to remove the part as he suggested the fridge was not worth fixing because the compressor was bad. He said that a refund would be issued - by cheque - from the Toronto office. I had to call CAR the next day to request an updated invoice showing the refund which they say may take a week. So, in the end I was only billed for the initial service call ($67.80) which is fair but I am not happy having to wait for a refund by cheque rather than just refunding this large amount to my visa because I will have to pay my visa before the cheque arrives. I’d still highly recommend CAR as they have fast service and Arthur was a joy to work with. Had they refunded to my Visa I would have given them five stars...

Fridge was not cooling. Artur of Capital Appliance Repair quickly determined problem and provided exact estimate of cost. He did the work professionally and had the replacement part on hand. He was friendly and very helpful, explaining everything as he worked on the fridge.
We highly recommend his company and their technician.

Great experience, the technician came with the part needed as I mentioned the error code and model of the washer in my email. Very courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend Capital Appliance Repair them and use them again. My only regret was not getting the technicians name to thank him personally.

The handle on our refrigerator broke and Capital Appliance was able to find a new part, install it quickly and efficiently. Great professional service. I would recommend them for any appliance repairs.

My washer stopped filled with soggy sheets on a Saturday morning. It was fixed and the repairs explained by Yuri within 2 hours of my call. Yuri also took the time to discuss repair and replacement options for both my washer and dryer.

My fridge stopped working and I had trouble finding a company who would respond quickly. I called Capital Appliance who said someone would come around 4:00Pm. The repair man actually arrived early and tried to fix the fridge. He said it was an old fridge and the repair might not work, and if it still did not cool within 24 hours to phone Capital and they would refund the cost of the starting relay they installed. The next morning the fridge was still not cooling so I phoned Capital why said they would immediately refund the cost of the part. Sure enough, a couple of days later I had a cheque for $129.00. Great service.

I called Capital Appliance Repair based on the number of good reviews online, and was happy with their service. They sent a technician within 24 hours of my call, and he arrived within the 2 hour window I was told to expect him.
He diagnosed the problem as being a blown fuse, and gave me the cost estimate before starting. He was efficient and pleasant to deal with. He also showed me that the dryer was working before he left.
I would not hesitate to use this company again, and would be happy to refer them to others.

Our 8yr old LG washer was no longer draining water. I called Capital on a Sunday evening and they sent a tech the next morning --- for an assessment and quote.

Yuri showed up on time, was very curteous, diagnosed the problem within minutes (dead drain pump), had the part on hand, and did a a great job installing, testing and cleaning up afterwards.

However, I was quite surprised at how expensive the job ended up being. We had to get the washer fixed so I did not challenge the quote --- but I find $380 (with tax) is quite expensive for such a basic part and the whole job (including the assessment) taking less than an hour. The drain pump itself came up to $150... Perhaps $50 to $75 (going price) but $150 seems very high. Plus another $185 for less than an hour service.

I shared my experience with Capital but did not hear back. But price aside, the repair service and timeliness was great.

I called Capital and got same day visit. Parts needed for the repair was ordered and job Copmlited the next day. The Russian repair man; I forgot his name was very kind and very professional.
