This was the second home we've built, but the first one with Marcson. Overall it was a positive experience. We started with one of their floor plans and had lots of flexibility to customize as we chose, including moving walls, which was great. We were pleased with most of their standard specifications, allowing us to select a few upgrades that were important to us.
We did a thorough walk-through at possession and were informed about the different features and mechanics in the home, but it was a lot of information to take in, at a busy and exciting time. We think it would be ideal if they could provide a checklist of recommended maintenance (ie. clean air exchange filter 2x/year) and tips for managing the furnace/HRV as this is quite different in the new homes that are more efficient and air tight.
We have identified a few small things we might change, but with the hundreds of decisions and components to the home, this is almost unavoidable. Marcson has been responsive in dealing with the outstanding deficiencies with just a couple remaining to wrap up. We felt we got good value and love our new home. We would recommend Marcson.
