Move

BEWARE of this Moving company!!!! NIGHTMARE!!! If I could offer a minus review I would... Our move was from Edmonton Alberta to Chilliwack BC. Andrey was to arrive at my home in Edmonton on the 29th of June. I was aware that it was a multi unit truck. And that was no problem. However around 6:50 pm he texted to say he couldn't make it, that he no longer had room on the truck. He told me that he could bring the bigger truck in the morning on June 30. I was in a meeting so I did not get a chance to respond until around 8:15 pm. I agreed that the next morning was ok.
I verified the price I had first agreed to. At this point he said that was not agreed upon. So after some talking we came to a different price that we both agreed upon. Andrey then changed his arrival time from morning to roughly 2 pm. Then to 6pm . Then 9pm. Then 11pm. Then he arrived at 12:30 am with his wife and baby and his dog. I had told him that my sons could help load if need be. However with so many changes in the schedule they were not able to help. Not to mention that it was now 12:30 AM!!!! Andrey had no one to actually load the truck. At 11:30 pm he had actually texted us (You can just show us the stuff and you can go sleep
We won't need your help).
Andrey also had a issue with the amount of belongings we had to move. Even though I had given him a fairly detailed list and had even said that I had enough to fill a one tonne truck. He said a 16 ft and between 2500 to 2800 lbs and I said (I think so). So now we have this new issue that he couldn't take everything I listed as he had picked up a couple more loads plus a boat before arriving at my home. He only had approx 8 ft of room left. We had to help unload all their personal belongings plus the boat.    Just so we could help load our own belongings.
So we have now gone from loading up on June 29 in the evening. To loading only half my stuff up at 1 in the morning on July 1 and not finishing until around 3. I had to prioritize what I would require in BC immediately. I then had to scramble to store what I could not fit in my truck on Canada Day. We still have to fly back to Edmonton and rent a uhaul to move the remainder of my belongings. When he was ready to leave he loaded his dog into the carrier and put the poor thing in the back of the truck with all the furniture!!!!
I wish it ended there. However it did not. We had agreed upon an etransfer roughly 1/2 hour before he finished unloading. Well unfortunately this was the one time that the etransfer system was down. We figured it would be corrected as the day went. It was not. As the day went the text messages took a different turn. Andrey did not have any pay online program on his website. He can only accept credit/debit cards or cash in person. He started threatening to dump our stuff if I couldn't pay him. I was getting so stressed as it was Canada Day and we were still trying to get our stuff that he left behind in storage. I had no vehicle handy to try to western union the money.
I got my daughter in BC to deal with him as I was having a stress related break down. I told Andrey that I was sending the money to my mom, as I did not have faith in him delivering it. Then he went off again that it is people like me that take advantage of people like him and that karma will get me. He called my daughter yelling at her that I was not sending him the money directly but sending it to my mother to pay him after it was unloaded. How dare I suggest that he was unreliable. Long distance moves are never on schedule. He even told her of a time he moved someone to Toronto (I believe), The client was expecting him on the 16th and he didn't arrive until the 24th. My daughter told him that just because he has done worse does not make this acceptable.
Well he finally showed up with his wife, baby and another child and the dog.  But still no one to unload the truck with him. My mother was there to meet him. My daughter was heading back from Langley. Andrey was so rude and verbally abusive to my 84 year old mother that the police had to be called. He refused to start unloading until she paid him to which she told him no that he was to start unloading. He jumped back into his truck to leave so she paid him but he was refusing to give her a receipt. When the police arrived they found my mother in medical distress and had to call a ambulance. She was having chest pains and couldn't breath properly. Andrey did nothing to help her. She was transported to the hospital where she was kept for 24 hours. By this time my daughter and son in law arrived. My daughter went with my mom to the hospital and my son in law stated to ensure our stuff was unloaded into the garage. The police had to tell Andrey to unload and leave. But not before they demanded to see his paper work. We finally got to our house July 3 after securing the remainder of our belongs in storage and only taking what we absolutely needed. We arrived to so many damaged boxes, rips on our leather sofas, dirty mattresses and broken items, pictures and missing boxes.  All text messages between Andrey and I have been saved. I hired a mover so that it would be stress free. BUT IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!!!!
