can't' catch a rat without poison
I read the homestars reviews and contacted contact right away. The reviews were right. they came right away. For 200 dollars they took at look in my basement and confirmed what i already knew -- i had a rat(s). They gave me 4 snap traps (value of about 20 bucks) and left about 15 min later. They did say, that they preferred to put out poison and could give me a 6 month guarantee for another 150 bucks. I can't use poison because i have pets. I have had the traps out for 6 weeks and nothing. I don't know what to do. I will be calling other exterminators for further advice. They were however, very friendly and seemed to want to help. But didn't. i guess you can't catch a rat without poison. i wish i knew that before spending 200 bucks.

Hi Kristen,
I believe that I was straight forward with you since day one.
You have chosen the all green option (no poison) and you were firm about it.
I told you that you are getting yourself into a loosing battle by refusing to use rodenticides.
You also have major structural issues in your basement that provide living spots for the rodents.
I was sure that the problem is not going to be solved ( without poison) and I mentioned it to you during my visit.
In regards of my fees:
$95 inspection fees and a minimum rate of $100 for any service ( prices are listed on mebsite)
you were advised to enroll in my 6 months warranty program for rodents control and you didn't accept.
I also told you that rats are shy and very careful with traps, and that the method you wanted to pursue to control them wasn't going to give you results.
with all my respect I think you have gotten your self into this situation and I don't feel that I dropped the ball on you.
I don't think that I deserve this bad review from you, as I didn't promise you anything.
However if you still need assistance I can upgrade the wrong approach that you have chosen to my warranty program.
I can also take my traps back and return $100 for my service fees.
$95 is what my time is worth for an inspection.
I really wanted to solve your issue but you didn't allow me to,as you are the only client that has giving me a negative review.
