Dan was doing a significant amount of work in our neighbourhood and I need it a little bit of purging done on my garage facia/foundation.

I approached Dam when he was in the neighbourhood and he came right away to give me a price and an estimated timing that he would be back to do the work.

Dan came back on the precise day that he committed to, the price was exactly the same as the quote, and the work was extremely well done.

In fact, Dan's team was so neat I didn't even notice they had been there until one of my neighbours pointed it out.

Dan has a very unique combination of skills in today's market that combine reliability and talent.

If you need Masonary work done, I would highly recommend Dan and his team.

Prior owners had improperly installed concrete patio which lead to improper drainage of bricks through weeping holes. Water damage from behind the brick was causing the bricks to disintegrate. Dan replaced the bottom 2 rows of bricks around the entire house and ensured proper drainage to prevent it from recurring. Job was done quickly and very wellwe are happy with the results.

We had two damaged sections on either side of our front door. The bricks were really deteriorated and needed replacing. The bricks are discontinued and we worried about how to match them. Dan worked his magic and took the bricks needed from the back of the garage and replaced them with something close. His work is fantastic! We were worried about mortar mismatch but he did an amazing job matching that too. Dan also replaced a couple of the windowsills and did an excellent job on them! We are so happy with the results and are getting more work in the spring. If you need brick work-Dan is your best option! He shows up when he says he will, sounds simple but these days, its rare. We are so thankful for finding him on HomeStars! Thank you Dan.

They did an amazing job on our foundation. Our neighbour, a general contractor, stopped by and specifically commented on the high quality of the work and that we should feel really good about it. Both Daniel and his employee (tried really hard to remember his name) were exceptionally friendly and professional and got the job done quickly and on time.

I could not have asked for anything more and thr price was more than reasonable.

This is the second time I have hired Hatten Masonry for a block foundation, I have been happy with the work each time. Thanks Dan, I'll see you on the next job.

Hatten did a terrific job re-parging our foundation and correcting a negative slope in our backyard. Our house looks so much better after their handiwork. Both Daniel and his associate were excellent.

Dan Hatten, owner Hatten Masonry, recently completed a renovation project to the front of our home in Scarborough. This project involved replacing the existing brick with a custom stone, replacing window sills with limestone and parging the entire foundation base of the house.

Dan delivered exceptional craftsmanship throughout the project and met his commitment on start and end dates. The finished work product was a thing of beauty and many of my neighbours commented on the excellent quality of the stone work with the integration of different size and shape stones into a mural of art work.

Dan sustained a high level of professionalism in all our communications proactively engaging us whenever required and quickly responding to our questions and suggestions. Most notable was the end of project cleanup which was done flawlessly. requiring very little post project clean up on our part.

Dan was recommended by a colleague, who spoke highly of his craftsmanship and work ethic.

Overall.. we would rate Dan Hatten, Hatten Masonry, 5++ stars for an excellent project outcome, he met all his commitments and his professionalism was awesome.

We would definitely recommend Hatten Masonry, Dan came when he said he would to give us a quote and when he repaired our chimney. We have experienced a lot of no shows for work on our property. He also did an excellent job, he matched the bricks and mortar perfectly so you cant tell where it was repaired.
