Matt and Ben are true professionals. They were very patient with us and receptive to any changes we wanted to make along the way. I'm my eyes what sets the Basement Builders apart is that they provide a high quality product at a very competitive price and customer satisfaction is they're top priority. Deciding to finish your basement is a big decision that should not be taken lightly. We live in an older home that has limited space so adding a second bathroom and some much-needed additional living space was something we wanted to do for a while. Our biggest questions were probably the same as anyone who is reading this: how much is this going to cost us? Will the work be high quality? and will the basement be finished on time?

With regards to question 1 the price was exactly what was quoted. The reason for this is because Matt and Ben made two visits to our house to discuss what we wanted, any potential issues that might arise and exactly what it would cost us so we knew what each step would entail and exactly what we were paying for.

The quality of work was exceptional. That this company guarantees their work with a 5-year warranty speaks to the level of confidence they have in their tradespeople. It also cannot be understated how well these guys know City of Calgary building code and it was a huge convenience to not have to be present when inspections were being done, as that would have meant taking time off work. While some contractors and homeowners may not feel that permits and inspections are important, I can tell you that we have peace of mind knowing that each element of our basement was constructed properly and more importantly safely.

The project was finished within days of the agreed finish date. As the project neared the end Basement Builders doubled their effort to get it done on time, which was much appreciated.

Basement Builders care about the service they provide. They legitimately want you to be happy with your investment and they make the process as hassle free as it can be. I truly believe that without this kind of detailed knowledge of building code etc. the process would not go nearly as smoothly as it did. We highly recommend using Basement Builders to finish your basement.

Matt and Ben run a very efficient operation allowing them to charge 30% less than other contractors without compromising on quality. I enjoyed working with Matt and Ben so much that I'm kind of sad that it is over. I really enjoyed coming home from work to see the substantial progress made every single day. I have nothing but the highest praise for these two gentlemen and the wonderful trades people they employ.

They were extremely organized and prompt. No hidden fees or charges. Beautiful finishing and within the timeframe. I would strongly recommend the Basement Builders to anyone.

I know have a ultimate man cave thanks to Matt and Ben. Saturday night hockey is even better know with my ultimate basement thanks boys. The wife loves it also :)

Matt and Ben were very professional and delivered on their promises. The craftsmanship of the framing was phenomenal. There were a couple issues but they were dealt with promptly and effectively. We were very satisfied with the end product at a reasonable price.

We interviewed 6 different contractors, but selected Matthew and Ben because in the initial meeting it was clear they were knowledgeable and experienced. Their pricing is very fair and the final quality is excellent. We have a bronze package basement with additional pot lights. The issues which arose during renovation were dealt with promptly. Both of them are very responsive. The trades were exceptional. My wife and baby son were at home during the renovations and they were comfortable.
