Contractor fully adressed issue I raised

Contractor replaced bath spout that did not stop the leak that I hired them for. The problem was fully resolved by contractor issuing refund. I consider this case is closed.

Company Response

A ceiling water stain is a tricky diagnosis. In the ideal case, the leak should be fixed if possible without cutting the drywall. Cutting the drywall should always be the last choice. A water mark on the ceiling could be the result of more than one leak on the system. Fixing a plumbing issue will not stop a leak coming from cracked grout lines. We always recommend checking the grout first as many times that is the cause of a stain on the ceiling. If a plumbing issue is resolved but the grout is cracked, the stain will remain, as only a part of the leak was fixed. As a sign of goodwill we have chosen to refund you the money for the leaky spout which we have replaced. Hope your issue will be resolved

Bad, Not Recommended

John, the business owner and plumber came to my house to address water leak in my bathroom. Upon a close inspection he concluded that the leak is coming from the old tub spout and assured me that a new spout would stop the leak.

Unfortunately, new tub spout did not stop the leak which he confirmed on his second visit.

Since, John no longer responds to my numerous phone calls and voice/text messages to avoid refunding my payment that was made on assurance/condition that new spout would stop the leak that did not happen.

I do not recommend this contractor.
