Very responsive and professional, very quick turn around time from calling from the car while travelling to a technician's visit to determine that the compressor was shorted, through discussion about a full replacement to installation was just two days in the middle of the hot summer. Amazing service, a professional approach through the quoting, service appointments and payments. Highly recommended, especially as the Carrier authorized dealer.

I contacted the company through a service request on Homestars. The guys came in gave me the best quote and I hired them.

They installed the gas line in the middle of February outside instead of inside which gave me piece of mind knowing I don't have extra gas flowing long distance inside the house.

A few months later I realized the hookup was facing up due to the oil catch needing to face down.

I contacted them to come and fix the issue and they agreed to come and have the quick connect facing the way I need it too in order to have it hooked up to my grill

Our really old stuff broke and they came and put new stuff in without and drama. They accommodated our weird layout and didn't nickle and dime us. The quote was clear and quick. They made it very easy to spend a lot of money A+.

In the middle of a heatwave, our AC stopped working. Our regular HVAC company determined the problem was our furnace blower. The next day we were told the part was unavailable. We needed a new furnace. They provided a quote. We were eager to have the work done. We were told the earliest installation would be over a week later. In the middle of a heatwave, with my husband working as a front line health professional during a pandemic, we desperately needed to have a working furnace so we could have AC and a comfortable home.
I arranged two other quotes. Hargrave Heating had a competitive quote and did the installation the next day.
The installers were excellent. They were professional. Brandon explained the operation of the thermostat, installing air filters, etc. They treated us and our home with respect. They tidied their work area so well. We are very pleased customers.

We just had our AC checked and serviced by another company and were told it would last through the season, and of course it dies during a recent heatwave. Quick call to Tim and the team at Hargrave and they had someone on site quickly to inspect and diagnose. The motor was gone (23 years) and it was time to replace. I asked that they check the furnace as well as it was 15+ years old and was making a sound like a sneaker in the dryer on start up. I made the call to replace both rather than take on a major repair and be worried it would break down next winter. Hargrave gave me 4 system options via a very helpful online tool that gave all the details including videos of each option. They then answered all my questions and lined up the installation. We also added an air purifier given wanted to up our air quality. We had a fantastic 3 man crew led by Antonio. They were knowledgeable, polite, treated the home like it was their own, got in and out quickly given it was a major undertaking and cleaned up after themselves. All in all some of the best customer service we have experienced in years. Have a new Carrier Infinity system that works beautifully and they even filled out the registration paperwork. Highly recommend this company and can see why they routinely win HomeStars and Carrier President awards.

I can’t say enough about the service tech Steven. He was very courteous, always explained everything to me, and phoned multiple times to let me know about parts and when he was arriving. He even went over above to look at other things. I will definitely be signing up for a Maint service package with them in the future.

Time was terrific to deal with when arranging the Air Conditioner Replacement and the Installation team was very professional. Protected floors with mats, cleaned up very well both inside and outside the home. They arrived right on time and the job took the time they had predicted. Expectations were met all around. The Project Control office was very good with communication and keeping me updated through the process. I would highly recommend Hargrave for your HVAC Project! You won’t be disappointed.

I have to apologize to Hargrave for the extreme lateness of this review. They were great.

The short review: Terrific, hire them with confidence. Very friendly management, knowledgeable sales team, and their installers were gentlemen. Their price beat the competition and there was no fuss about a difficult installation in a finished basement. The Carrier Infinity furnace purred along happily for the remaining 4 months of winter.

The long review (and long story): Our formerly-usual guys called us to come in for a routine inspection the Friday before Christmas. We said ‘ok why not,’ and the little so-and-so decided to red-tag our furnace for no reason. This left us with a 2 week period over the holidays to replace a furnace that didn’t need replacing! Nincompoops! The furnace was nearing the end of its life, but you just don’t do that do people. Suffice to say that our holidays were less than restful. Then they quoted us a lower tier furnace for 50% more than our Carrier! They’ll get no more work from us!

Then the first guys we tried to hire showed up with the wrong furnace and air filter. And sent their ‘best guy Tony’ to try and force it down our throats! The worst tradesman I’ve ever seen stormed into our basement with barely a ‘hello’ and started telling me how much extra the installation was going to cost. Needless to say, he wasn’t ugly enough, and I sent him packing.

Then I called Hargrave and was pleasantly surprised when Tim returned my call the very same day. And from a family vacation at Disney no less! He sent Steve to see us the next day. I am a technically minded and detailed consumer, and I had a lot of questions to ask before I was satisfied. Steven was knowledgeable and the few fine details he didn’t know he found out for me by the next day. I feel like I made an intelligent decision and am still very happy with the purchase.

The basement is finished and Steven checked it out thoroughly before quoting the job. Sure enough, the installers came and did the installation with barely a word. Fast and neat. I have seen a few awful tradesmen come and go, and I wouldn’t hesitate to have these guys back. They were brisk, quiet, tidy, and most of all polite.

The carrier furnace (59TN6B) is great. I was surprised at how much quieter it is. You don’t know how loud something is until the noise is gone. The old furnace, though still functioning, was at the end of its life, and the carrier made that clear. Like night and day. The new heating was immediately noticeably better.

We saved a little money on gas, I didn’t expect the whole-nine-yards. It was more like 10% or so. Its hard to tell in half of one heating season. Next year will be the real test. At any rate, it’s a new house, so I don’t expect a whole lot because its built properly.

We also installed an air filter; the Infinity HEPA – MERV16 and it is amazing. We were very concerned about indoor air quality because all of us have allergies and chemical sensitivities. The next day when I woke up, the air was noticeably clearer. Hard to describe. Like looking through a window you just cleaned! It has been excellent, and it still seems to be working well after 5 months. Hopefully the filter will last a full year as advertised. If it even gets close, its still way better than the usual 1” filters that everyone fights with. It certainly out-performs them, and if it costs more, so be it. My health is more important. I am happy to pay for something that works this well.
