Our furnace was "red tagged" on November 28 after a routine maintenance call. (cracked heat exchanger) We were told by three other companies that it would be a very expensive fix and the best option would be a new furnace since the existing one was 15 years old. There were varying stories about whether the heat exchanger was under warranty or not. We called the manufacturer, Carrier, on December 2nd for clarification. They passed on the details of our situation to a dealer and within 2 hours Hargrave called us and shortly after sent a technician to our house. He explained that the repair would cost significantly less than other companies had quoted and he also provided a quote on a new unit also at a significantly lower price on the same model furnace. We opted for the new furnace and the installers were out early the next day and completed the job quickly and efficiently.
We have been telling our friends and family about our experience and praising the responsiveness and honesty that your company has demonstrated. They followed up the next day to ensure that we were satisfied with the work that was done. Very impressive! Going forward, Hargrave is the only company we will be dealing with for our heating and air conditioning needs.

It was great professional experience working with Tim and his team. Tim provided very competitive quotes, answered all questions and clear all doubts before starting job of installation of furnace and air conditioner with duct work. They have completed job in two days with great team work, professionally and timely manner. All job done well.

We were looking for a new furnace, and went with three estimates; Enercare (who we have dealt with for years) and two highly rated companies on Homestars, including Hargrave Heating & Cooling, who offer Carrier, and another that had a high overall rating but a few mixed reviews (and offered Lennox).

Tim, the Homestars sales representative, did a great job working with us to find right model of furnace and getting us a good deal. The quote from Enercare for the exact same model was about 35% more epensive than Homestars, and it did not include a humidifier!

The installation experience was very good. The company was very good about communicating with us about schedule. The install team was professional, courteous and conscientious. One of our main concerns was to ensure that no damage was done to our recently renovated walls and floors. Tim was there at the start of the install and stressed the importance of our concern to the two installers. The guys were extra careful while taking out our very large old furnace and bringing in the new one, and they did a good job.

Comparing maintenance plans, Homestars won on pricing again, as they are much better than Enercare - we'll be switching to them for the new year.

After evaluating the offering from 3 supplier/installers I chose Hargrave because they were attentive in the recommendation phase and I liked their package. All of the visits including the installation were on time. The installers were excellent and the installation was clean and prompt. During the installation it was discovered that the AC unit delivered had a shipping related defect. The installation team went straight to the manufacturer and obtained a replacement and the installation continued on schedule. The resulting job was clean and completely satisfactory. I whole heartedly recommend Hargrave as an HVAC source.

Great service and work by Hargrave. The team was excellent...starting with Tim giving us timely quotations, explaining the quotations and answering all our questions. Janet for completing our paperwork to ensure we were getting all the appropriate rebates. And finally the installation crew of Dimitri and Steve for doing such an exceptional job. Hargrave Heating has been amazing to work with. We initially began contact with them in summer of 2018 as we were shopping for new furnace and AC units. We've dealt with Kevin from the initial quoting appointment and he is fantastic. Kevin went the extra mile to ensure we fully understood his recommendations, which took into account both our needs and or budget. He also ensured he was competitive with our other quotes so we weren't comparing apples to oranges. His installation team for our new units were prompt, efficient and incredibly clean in all their work, both indoors and out. Since our quote we've had to call on Kevin and Hargrave a couple times with minor questions and they've responded and visited within 24 hours, if not the same day, same hour. I will be, and already have, providing Hargrave to anyone who asks for a recommendation.

We recently replaced our 22 year old furnace and in doing so met with and obtained quotes from four different companies. After a full review of all the information we gathered we selected Hargrave Heating and Air Conditioning. From the time of getting a quote to final installation, the entire Hargrave team was informative, responsive to any questions and at all times very professional and easy to work with. The two Hargrave furnace installers worked very efficiently, were very professional and left the furnace area spotless. I would highly recommend Hargrave to friends and family without hesitation.

Last summer my furnace was red-tagged and I found myself shopping for a new furnace, and given that my air conditioning unit was very old, I decided to change that as well. After getting two other quotes, our friend recommended Hargrave and after meeting with Bryan, we chose Hargrave. We ended up replacing our entire HVAC system. The service we received from the office staff and the professionalism of the installers were nothing short of impeccable. The office staff was also extremely instrumental in assisting us to resolve an ongoing issue we had with our previous water heater provider who kept calling us and sending us invoices for $450 for removing the water heater. Emily and Min were absolutely amazing, always prompt at getting back to me and always keeping me informed and following up. .

A few days ago, while having some interlock work being done around our home, the city came by to do some upgrades to our gas line. When the inspector came last Friday afternoon, he issued a warning about the venting. I contacted Hargrave while the inspector was there and even though the inspector determined Hargrave had done everything correctly, Janet called me back and left a message, asking me to call her back so she could arrange for someone to come out and assess everything at no charge to us. I called her back after 5 p.m. and even though the office closed at that time, she picked up the phone and went out of her way to book an appointment for us for first thing Monday morning. Kevin arrived promptly at 8 a.m. and looked over all the equipment, inside and out, he did a few adjustments and told us he would take care of resolving the warning and we did not have to worry about anything. He even changed our furnace filter! We found Kevin to be very friendly, helpful and professional.

We have had nothing but a fantastic experience with this company. It is very rare to find a company who cares that much about their customers and who goes out of their way to ensure any issue is resolved fully and promptly.
