I Inspect 360

This was the first home inspection I have paid for. I have witnessed others for other people. For the purposes of this review I will review the experience from start to finish and provide an overall summary at the end.

Prior to inspection
I booked the home inspection through GPIweb.ca. Booking the inspection was easy and quick and can be done completely online. within mins I received a confirmation via email with re-Inspection Agreement, Invoice, Standards of Practices, Home Maintenance Guide, and iCal Link. If you are detail oriented, the information included in this package is informative. I also received a secondary email from Frank confirming the appointment and email introduction which was a very nice personal touch. A day before the inspection I also received a reminder email.

Inspection day

Frank got to the site earlier than the appointed time to review the exterior of the house. I was instantly greeted with a smile and a friendly introduction which is not necessary but a great personal touch.

Frank took his time to review every aspect of the house as per the agreement (and going above and beyond). He took the time to explain issues found, why they are issues, potential recommendations for next steps.

I also asked for personal opinions on some of the issues that were brought up and Frank was more than forthcoming with information. This particular property needs to have the basement dug out in order to finish the basement. I asked Frank approx how much this would cost. He admitted that he does not know for sure but would be willing to speak to his contacts in order to get me an approximate amount. I very much appreciate someone who can be truthful in admitting what they know and what they don't as well as going that extra mile to get the information for me.

This home had multiple bookings for the same time slot. Frank was also kind enough to not speak about the findings of the inspection while others were in the house (without my asking). This was very much appreciated by me since these other potentially interested parties didn't bring their own inspectors .

After the inspection

Frank provided the housing report in an electronic format via email within hours of the inspection. Digital photos were provided in the housing report which made things very easy to review at a later time and remind us of the extent of the issues. Frank also made himself available for any questions after the inspection was completed.

Overall I would absolutely not only use Frank's home inspection services again in the future I would also recommend him to others within the GTA. His professionalism, courtesy, knowledge, and diligence made him a pleasure to work with.
