LG fridge problem

LG fridge not working...freezer was fine. Called Fix Appliance. Good company, stands by their service warranty and understands good customer service. Fix Appliance .ca technician left a fridge magnet as a handy reference just in case you need them again

Diagnosed LG fridge that was not working as needing a new motherboard. New board was ordered - I had to follow-up after 1 week of no word from Tech as to when he was coming. New Motherboard was installed - same issue. Tech had to order a 2nd motherboard took 17 working days to arrive- again had to constantly call to get the Tech in for the repair. Changed the motherboard again (second time) - did not work.
He then decided to check if the airflow from the freezer was flowing to the fridge compartment and it was not. The freezer pipe was full of ice and in order to fix the issue all he had to do was to defrost the pipe and remove all the ice. No refund was offered for the motherboard and no apologies for his lack of troubleshooting skills.
Rather than looking at the simple things first, he went after the "bigger" issues first costing me undue stress and of course $$$.
