As with all older homes you touch one thing, you have to do another 5 things. Noticing our Dining and kitchen floors were freezing, we the academics, decided to investigate why? Discovering that the exterior overhang and bay window had no insulation , and that the rim joist insulation was less than adequate, we looked into different types of insulation, and contacted 3 companies to give us quotes. Chris responded promptly, said he was coming when he said he was and gave fair advice. The quotes, were clear and separated per area. He answered the academics essay of questions and made sure we all were on the same page.
Chris and team were respectful of our home, covered our floors and used guards around our wall corners. He was willing to work with us, the weekend DIY warriors, (after an exhaustive effort on our part to air seal and ensure air flow) to blow in insulation into the dining room attic (approx 210sqft) to R50, on a short 3 day notice. The dining room and the basement are toasty, the floors are not freezing and most importantly our aging furnace doesn't have to work as hard to keep the house warm.
