Little to no care in the work they provide
What can I say about Smiths Gardening Service? Not a whole lot, just like the amount of effort they put into the property. Road work consists of a bob cat driving back and forth doing circles to pack the snow down. Drive way work is nothing more than a snow blower. Public walk ways have had so much snow and ice on them that residents have fallen and hurt. Multiple residents have had complaints about dogs with sore feet from the deicer used yet they insist on it being pet friendly. Smiths gardening arrives on site with 2 guys on a good day. They procced to sit in a truck for 2-3hrs. Do half a row of houses and call it a day. Snow removal can take 3-5 days to clean side walks and driveways and by clean its more like the "college try" of snow removal...no pride in the work and no effort at all. Its sad to think we have a contract to pay these people to do a job a 14 year old would do for $20 a house and put some effort into.
0/10 I would spend the money on a company that actually puts effort and pride into the work they perform.
Edit: I would challenge Travis to come visit his workers on site when work is being performed. I know this has been brought to our condo board before and its not the first you have heard of it either.
I will be sending my outside video logs and door bell camera captures over to my Condo board showing the level of "care" these workers have. Like dragging snow shovels behind them like a ball and chain across the complex. Has the snow been a lot I would say sure but is it not the job of the snow removal company to have plans in place to deal with it? Should it take a week to clean common areas like the Mail box and pathways? No it should not. Residents have fallen on common areas a few times this year already because snow and ice were still untouched.
If the crew are also working 14hrs days I think a call to the labor board is in order as well since 12hrs working is the max within Alberta without special permission. Which probably explains why multiple residents have seen the Smith crew show up and sit in trucks for hours before anything is actually started.
The road way right now in our condo is SO bad that if you drive any sort of small car you will be tearing up the bottom of your car from the ruts and deep snow still left. With the current melt going on you could also sink it one of the many giant lakes being formed as well.

Hello. Your review of my business is upsetting. We as a team put a lot of effort into every contract we service. I want to be clear with you. This year we have had non stop snow. When it doesn't snow the team is conducting an ice check when ice checks are not being completed equipment is being Maintained. Our crews work a minimum 12 -14 hr days and work extremely hard to keep the snow cleared from all walks, entrances, driveways, and roadways. Do you honestly feel my skid steer driver (bobcat) shows up to your property to do donuts? The snow has been a lot this year and for you to say we sit in a truck for 2-3 hours while we are on your property is ridiculous. I appreciate your feedback tho. It helps me determine where we can be better and communicate to the team. But how do you expect me to share with my team;that the hard work they have put in for 3 weeks without a day off, is not appreciated. In fact it has been said you guys don't get out of the truck bud the bobcat just drives around? I challenge you to rewrite your review constructively so I can correct matters.
