About 3 year ago we needed to install Security Cameras to protect out Church located at Jane and Finch area. We called Engineered Alarm Solutions Inc. to propose a design and a quote. We had proposals from other companies, but we chose Engineered Alarm Solutions because Gabriel was very professional, heard our needs, and based on that he proposed the most cost-effective solution to protect our premises. The technicians were very professional and made a clean and neat installation. The post-installation customer services of this company are great. Their guidance and readiness to help and answer our questions at any time are super helpful. It is a pleasure having Engineered Alarm Solutions Inc. as our security company. I would recommend the professional services of this company to anyone who appreciate not only having a trouble-free Security System, but also to count with a great post-sale service and technical support.

I brought Gabriel from Engineered Alarm Solutions to take over an existing system that was already in place. Gabriel made a good impression, and his installer was very professional. The existing modem was replaced and we added a panel and additional sensors.

The day after the installation, we opened one of the windows which triggered the alarm. I deactivated the alarm within a few seconds. I missed a call from the alarm monitoring station given that the reception is somewhat poor in my area. Once I called them back, within 20 minutes, I was told they dispatched the police which I asked them to cancel.

I was then told that if the police were dispatched, there would be a fee of roughly $180 that would be incurred. I complained that Gabriel never explained I would get a call when I deactivated my alarm, and asked him to ensure that the monitoring station stop calling if the alarm is deactivated in less than 30 seconds.

For the next several months, I had another 3-4 false alarms caused by winds opening windows, or system tests conducted at about 2AM which woke me up with the high pitch beeps (which I complained to Gabriel about and he changed the timing to 10AM). Even though the alarm was successfully deactivated each time, the monitoring station always called.

In the meantime, I also got a message about the $185 fine from the police, which we thought was cleared given that we hadn't heard anything in about 2 months. I complained about the lack of clear guidance and explanation, and asked for the charge to be reversed. Instead, I was asked to talk directly with the police alarm unit and ask them to drop the fine given my situation.

About 3 months after switching to Engineered Alarm Solutions, one of the sensors malfunctioned. Gabriel came by to diagnose but didn't find the issue. He sent his team over, this cost me $165, the fix took about 5 minutes. The team was professional, the original installer was part of that, and he knew exactly what to do. Gabriel did tell me about a $5/month extra to have his team address any issues such as this.

Once I talked with the police unit, it turned out that the only way to reverse a charge is to file paperwork and show that I had some work done to address the original false alarm. Gabriel didn't know this was the procedure, and I asked him to file the paperwork and add the recent work order as proof.

Gabriel talked with me and explained that my alarm system signal with alarm.com only shows when an alarm is activated, and not when it's deactivated. This is why the monitoring station always calls, regardless of my requests. The $29/month (pre-taxes) doesn't include this, which was frustrating, and Gabriel said we can move up to a more expensive plan or replace the existing modem (which I purchased from him).

I wasn't happy with the system given the nuisance of being called by the monitoring station, and several nights of lost sleep due to sensors going off or a system test failing. I lost faith in the system and the service given the noted issues.

I asked Gabriel to cancel the service, and return my partial payment for monitoring services (which I paid for a year in advance). I was asked to wait for the decision from the police, since Gabriel wasn't willing to take any responsibility for not knowing the alarm system or police procedures as far as alarms go. In about 3 weeks, the police charges were reversed, as the police unit told me.

The system was activated and I got back the credit for the unused time with the alarm monitoring. The one good thing is that there are no long term contracts, it's month to month so it felt good to break free.

My advice is to carefully research alarm companies, the exact system you'll have installed, understand if the the police or alarm guards will arrive, contract duration, included equipment, and equipment maintenance, so you can make the best decision.

Several years ago, we hired Engineered Alarm Solutions Inc. (EAS) to install a Monitored Alarm System, Security Cameras, and Home Automation (Deadbolts, Thermostat, Lighting Control, etc.) in our new home. When we purchased the home, it came with a pre-existing security system that was frustrating to use, had recurrent false alarm issues, and we needed to find a new company to install a reliable and better quality system. Our experience with EAS was extremely positive and we have been pleased ever since.

This month, my parent's home was broken into at night, while they were home sleeping. This was a terrifying experience for them. The next morning we knew exactly who to call.

Within that same week, Gabriel had completed a site visit at their home, assessed the areas of weakness, and provided a price quote. We were also able to schedule an install date quickly.

My parents are in their 80s and not technically-savvy. EAS made the system hi-tech for security purposes, but yet manageable for them. In particular, EAS installed a "panic button" in their bedroom that will alert the police/fire if there is a future emergency. We are also able to remotely view their cameras and Arm/Disarm their Alarm System from our i-Phones. This is a great way to ensure their safety from afar.

Gabriel's extensive knowledge of engineering and security are unparalleled, but his kindness and the way he personally cares about keeping each family safe is what I value most.

A few years ago I had Engineered Alarm Solutions Inc. replace our existing alarm system as well as install a new security camera system. I have also recommended them to perform the same installations at my parents' house. Since then I've had to contact them with questions and/or issues (usually I.T.-related!), and each and every time Gabriel has responded in a timely fashion and with great patience! Every member of Gabriel's team that we've met has been terrific to work with. They are professional and very helpful. It was a pleasure working with EAS during our initial installation, but I love them even more for their terrific post-installation service!

I Called Engineered Alarm on a required repairs and within the same week the job was completed to my Satisfaction.

With little or no prior knowledge of residential alarm systems or home monitoring, it was immediately apparent that Engineered Alarm Solutions was the best choice for providing my family with a very reasonably priced, no-hassle and no-compromise security system.

After seeing the reviews on Home Stars, I contacted Engineered Alarm Solutions Inc. to inquire about the rough cost of connecting my old existing hardwired system to a monitoring centre. Gabriel provided a rough verbal quote and I asked him to come in to take a look at my existing system.
Gabriel was highly knowledgeable but also respectful of the fact that I wanted to minimize any added costs, since I already have a hard-wired system in the house. He provided the pros and cons of recommended changes / upgrades, but was never pushy. He also offered me different options so that I can gauge the costs myself. He sent me the necessary information in a quote (which matched his verbal quote!) for me to take the time to review the details and make a decision.
Once I made the decision to proceed, Arash came by and made the installation. Arash did work a little harder at "selling" some upgrades (such as a better keypad, which I ultimately opted for), but overall, he was professional and polite.
Thank you to Gabriel for providing guidance on the current technology security systems. I'm happy with my upgraded system, and already inadvertently tested the system by accident! All worked well. :)

Well Gabriel has done a few upgrades and new installations for us he is always on time and very professional. His installations are cleaned up no mess left after, all training is provided to our employees as needed. His prices are very good I should say the best and never any extra add on or surprises in the end . Gabriel and his team were a pleasure to work with. They were knowledgeable, respectful and professional. Gabriel provided a thorough assessment of our home security needs. Since it was an alarm system takeover, we appreciate that Gabriel did not simply recommend replacing everything that was already installed - instead, he recommended replacing only the things that needed to be replaced/upgraded.
