We strongly recommend Shawn and his team at IAQ Ottawa. Based on a past indoor air quality issue Shawn helped us resolve in a prior home, we hired him again to help us navigate a major issue at our new home. After experiencing water issues in our unfinished basement In February 2022, we asked Shawn to help us determine the source of the water. He thoroughly investigated, brought in a structural engineer, sampled our air and determined there was a mold issue and structural deficiencies with our home. Using his thorough report, we submitted a claim through Tarion Home Warranty. It was so thorough that Tarion opted to not send out their own people to investigate and required the builder to pay for all remediation and rebuild. Shawn is a leading expert in his field and we are extremely grateful to him and his team for taking quick action on our behalf. Even more, we are grateful for his patience and his in depth explanations- he took the time to explain each step of his investigation, and educate us on how basements should be constructed to avoid potential mold/moisture problems. Shawn is exceptional. We highly recommend him.
