We recently had a blockage in our sewer line. We called Mr. Rooter and they located the blockage on City property. The blockage was only partially cleared due to the severity of the root growth and other factors. We were not charged for this and Mr. Rooter suggested we go to the City for an excavation to repair the pipe.
Mr. Rooter could have easily suggested they perform the work, and consequently reap the profits, but they didn’t. This kind of “Customer Centric Focus” is rare today. I commend Mr. Rooter on their honesty and sound business practices.
As it turned out, the City refused to take ownership of the responsibility, despite the evidence produced. I have since found this is not uncommon. We called Mr. Rooter and they immediately came out and repaired the system. Their pricing was fair and we received a 25 year guarantee on their work. Previous plumbing contractors had given us “No Guarantee” whatsoever!
Don’t shop plumbing problems on price alone. Many times the lowest price is the most expensive!
