Pro Fence And Decks

I am not sure if all the reviews are from real clients or friends of the family. So I feel compelled to provide you with my experience.

I emailed Pro Fence on May 16th/18, on May 17/18 they asked where I lived and I responded immediately, then never heard back until I initiated an e-mail on May 22/18 asking when they will be coming by. They apologized for not getting back to me and that it's a family run business so sometimes e-mails can get lost. After the phone call he mentioned that he would send me an e-mail regarding a time to meet. Regrettably the time did not work, so I gave them a time that worked better for my family. I did not hear from them once again for a few days so I sent them another email, in which they finally got back . We met on the 25th of May which was a rainy day, so when Jorge arrived he had a tape measure in his hand but didn't want to get wet so he asked for the measurements or plan of the backyard, which I personally thought was unprofessional for why are you hear if I could have just sent you all the info. He eventually chose to venture outside to get the measurements and said that he would send me the quote for sure by the Sunday May 24th. On Monday May 25th I had not heard from them, so I e-mailed them to tell them if I do not hear from you by Tuesday the 25th I was moving on, in which I did. On June 8th I chose to e-mail them to inform them that I will be sharing my negative experience at which point he replied with: If you are still interested I will send you the quote .

I wasted over 2 weeks chasing them for their business. This is not how good customer service is built.

We met Jorge Jr at Ottawa Home & Garden Show last sprint. We were impressed with Jorge’s friendliness, the deck material displayed in his booth, and knowing that he had a show room we could visit.
Later we hired Jorge to install Fiberon deck in our backyard. During the whole process, Jorge was very patient to answer our questions and take our special requests into consideration. The team did a excellent job getting the project done.

After considerable research & soliciting estimates, we chose Pro-Fence and Decks of Ottawa to build our 12' X 16' maintenance free, wood composite deck in June. Jorge, the owner, was very approachable. He spent time at our home discussing options & we followed up with a visit to his showroom in Taylor Creek industrial Park (Orleans).
Malachy, who actually constructed, installed & led the team, is an experienced professional carpenter & a perfectionist. He was always there to answer our questions & ensured that the worksite was left clean & safe every night.

We used Pro- Fence and Decks in September 2016 and we love this company. Finally the snow has melted and we can sit in our privately fenced backyard. Jorge and his son and crew did a wonderful job. The were on time, worked hard and gave us the product we selected. Jorge gathered about 10 of our neighbors and carried out the tear-downs of the old fences and new builds at the same time. I was so overly impressed with the timeline that was met, the pricing, the coordinating, the patience, the great communication and the end result. They took great care in every step they took. Pro-Fence and Decks are a superb company to deal with. Starting from Jorge Sr and Jr, this firm and staff are very professional, polite and caring and we are so happy that we went with them.
They installed a PVC fence on our property which was replacing a cedar fence. They took it down and carted it away. The installation of the PVC fence and the cleanup was outstanding and I would recommend Pro-Fence and Decks to anyone looking for an honest, trustworthy and professional firm.
There are many firms in the Ottawa area that could learn a lot from how Pro-Fence and Decks operate not only in the contract negotiations, installation, but in customer service.
