Wiring a thermostat

Don't believe what they tell you.

On the phone and on their website they state flat out:
"*Standard service call fee waived with repair. This offer can't be bundled with any other offers"

They told me there's a service charge of $80, but they waive that if you accept the quote when the repairmen provide it

1) They showed up 7 hours late
2) They started off by trying to upsell me on a new furnace and tried to rent me a water heater
3) When asked the price, I was told it was 15 min of work...so the cost 'to start' was the service call fee...PLUS an hour of labour

Not worth your time. This is an attempt to sell water heater rental and over charge. Glad I kicked them out

Approximate cost of services:
$150.00

Company Response

Dear Home Owner,

Thank you for providing your feedback, however, we are dismayed to hear of your concerns, and would like the opportunity to address them.

Please be advised that Simply Comfort prides itself in quality service, and reliable Customer Service, both of which we feel were upheld during our interactions with you, namely by setting up the correct expectations regarding what services we can offer, within a realistic time frame. Our records indicate that during our phone conversations you were advised that in the event that you do not proceed with Simply Comfort's repair services, you will be charged for the call, to which you understood and accepted. During the phone call, you were also advised that due to our Technician's servicing many other "high priority" calls, such as leaks, 'no heat' situations etc, we were able to accommodate your service within an 'evening window', to which you were also agreeable. As we're sure you can appreciate, since you opted not to proceed with Simply Comforts' servicing, our Technician advised you with a rate for the call, to which you denied, though this is quite standard for any company that must dispatch a Technician to someone's home to diagnose and/or repair a 'service related' issue.

With all of this in mind, we are truly sorry if you feel that your experience with Simply Comfort did not meet your expectations, and look forward to being given the opportunity in discussing this matter further, and clarifying our procedures once again via telephone with you.

Best Regards,
Allison
