We had a very bad experience with Maintain It, and emphatically would not recommend its service. We signed a contract with JB of Maintain It in August 2016 to renovate our bathroom, with a deposit. JB, giving various excuses, did not show up to work at all during the week that he said he would start an complete the job, despite our repeated attempts to communicate with him about showing up through phone texts and messages. When he finally did show up a week later, the total amount of work he did was about 1 1/2 hours, partially demolishing the bathroom, and also asking us for cash to purchase materials for the job. However, he did not show up to continue his work, or deliver the materials he was to purchase with the money we gave him. Instead, he asked by text
for additional costs for the job when we contacted him. We
asked him to come and discuss the additional costs in person, but he never showed up again, or answered our repeated attempts to contact him. We have written a more detailed review of what transpired to the Better Business Bureau, to which JB responded with a rebuttal that contains significant false statements (which can be proven false based on the records of phone text exchanges).
It was very stressful and painful in getting him to work during those days. We ended up had a partially torn down bathroom and bags of debris in our yard after his ~1.5 hour visit. The only visit he ever made…
