Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

I had Aeroseal Solutions clean and seal the ductwork in my home last year due to an issue with a really cold room above our garage. Thelak did a great job of answering my questions and explained the entire process from start to finish. He mentioned that they get this issue often and that sealing the ductwork was the best way to fix it. He reassured me that they've had clients who have tried everything else (new furnace, attic insulation, new windows) with no success but sealing the ductwork is what made the difference. Based on this I decided to go ahead and book an appointment. They arrived on time and after taking a quick look around got straight to work. They had quite a bit of equipment but they made sure to put down drop clothes. They blocked off the vents and started the cleaning process while rest of the equipment was being set up in the basement. Once the cleaning was done they moved onto the sealing. The pre-test came back with 220 CFM of leakage which was equal to a 42 square inch hole. During the seal there was some light fogging on the first floor which they said was normal since that was the way the sealant worked. Once they were done they printed off a certificate that let me know they were able to bring down the leakage to 20 CFM. Right away I could feel that there was definitely more air coming through the registers in that room. I was told it would take 24-48 hours for everything to cure. It's been several months since then and I can say that the room is still much warmer now and the whole house feels a lot more comfortable. I'm anxious to see how much cooler it will be once summer heat hits and we go to turn on the AC. I've referred a few people to them already and will continue to do so. Thank you for providing such a great service!
