Boiler repair and maintenance

This company was unethical, unprofessional and rude. My first interaction with Stuart was when he came to install our new boiler. After telling me all our rads worked, he left. The next year one of our rads was still not working. I tried to contact Stuart with no avail telling him to return to fix what he had promised initially. Finally the next year, I reached him. He came to fix the rad and then sent me a bill for $150, which I refused to pay calling and leaving several messages for him to reach me at his earliest convenience to discuss the bill. He did not return one phone call.

When our 4 year old boiler quit December 22, I had no choice but to call Aaron Mechanical again as the warranty was with them. Stuart then told me we owed him money and said that our rad he had to fix was not part of the initial assessment. He said he would come by and take a look as long as we paid our previous bill. On Christmas Eve he arrived to have a look (after 2 days of no heat). He said he needed a part from a distributor in Brampton that was recently hit by the big ice storm that year and was running on minimal hours. Stuart would not give us any information and so when I would call he would block my calls (ended up phoning from different numbers) and tell me false timelines. He left my home without heat for just under 2 weeks (-26 degrees outside) saying he "could not contact the distributor" (I called the distributor myself and had the part ordered that day - 1 phone call). I would not recommend even phoning this company for anything. Stuart finally stuck me with a bill for $2000 for 10 hours (at $79 per) of labour plus parts! I realize there would be payment but that was just ridiculous! When we voiced our concerns of how terrible it was to deal with his company he said there was nothing he could do because it was just "lucky" I was able to reach the distributor on their 1-800 number. I was even the one that drove to Brampton to get the part he needed. Turned out it was not the correct part after looking at it after putting it in, it was an 'electrical' issue. Finally December 3, he came with the new parts and fixed it. He refused to leave without the $2000 bill being paid.

I write this review as we got screwed by this company and I am trying to have others avoid the headache and heartache.
