Death march for my Refrigerator

If you are a single woman over 60 or your mom lives alone, do NOT use these guys. My fridge stopped cooling, and I needed service quickly. Apart from not showing up on time - the office called me to say that the technician was "running late" - and being bullied by the large man who showed up, he did the repair WHILE THE FRIDGE WAS TURNED ON. I asked him 3 times if it should not be turned off and all he was focusing on was how to get a bigger repair bill out of me by insisting the compressor was "weak" and trying to insinuate that it needed to be replaced. When the new part was installed, the fridge started cold air through the freezer and that was that. However, my joy was short lived; since the fridge had been left on during the entire repair, the circuit board was overloaded as soon as the technician plugged the fridge back in. As soon as I noticed that the fridge had stopped, I phoned the office to have someone come back. "Sorry, not tonight," I was told. I was promised the "senior technician" would come out to see me on Friday. Friday morning arrived to have an equally large bully at my door. At one point, the man was insisting that the compressor had failed BEFORE the other technician had arrived. So I pointed out to him the fact that the freezer had been cooling and that the other tech could verify this information. The senior tech essentially refused to repair my fridge, and said that "someone" would call me from the office by 10 AM with a quote - and this is AFTER having paid $339 for the first repair. When that "someone" had not called my by 2 PM, I phone ARS myself and was treated to the shabbiest service ever by someone named "Roge." The quote came to over $800 plus taxes, on top of what I had already paid. So I said I wanted my money back. Then this person told me I "had to pay something" for the call. Usually repair calls are $60 from a local shop in Richmond Hill. He then put me on hold; after about 10 minutes he came back on the line and told me that "Company X" didn't have me as a client and he was charging me $80 plus tax for the service call but would refund me the balance, although HIS SENIKOR TECHNICIAN HAD TOLD HIM NOT TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND TO TAKE ME TO COURT. So I said to "Roge", how was I going to know if I was going to get my credit if they hadn't even sent me the original bill. THEN this guy gets obnoxious and more or less says he isn't going to give me my money back and will "have to think about it" and put me on hold. By this time, I was in tears - here I am being jerked around by
yet ANOTHER bully. Eventually, I got my money back, less the service charge and taxes but I will NEVER recommend this company, especially to retirees and women on their own.

Approximate cost of services:
$339.00
